Sex, Testosterone and Muscle mass

I am very new to bodybuilding. I have nice results for a beginner, and it encourages me to go further. I have read all sorts of things about Anabolics, and the main thing I understood is that hormones help creating muscle mass.
The thing is, that I am having sex almost daily and at least 1-2 "times" per "session". My GF is going easy on me, so my main concern isn't over exhausting myself, but rather the Testosterone level. I have heard that this hormone drops after sex and it is also a muscle builder.
Obviously, my question is:

Muscles are good for sex, but does sex interfere muscle gain? Undoubtedly it's good for fat loss and aerobics ;), But what effect does all that fluctuation in Testosterone have on muscle gain?

What should I do? Decrease frequency? Increase frequency (I hope to god that this is the solution!).

You could look into tribulus or tribestrin. Tribulus is an herb that increases your own natural testosterone production, and it's quite popular for muscle growth and sexual enhancement.

Tribestrin is a brand of tribulus that has only the herb's saponins - or the active chemicals. The non-saponin content of the tribulus herb is toxic to the body and can sometimes cause stomach discomfort and other maladies. Tribestrin is pretty expensive compared to tribulus though, so I recommend you try this first.
 
I am already taking loads of pills and powders... Anyway to settle this without bringing in more work to my liver? Whether it exhausts the liver or not, my budget isn't endless anyway, so maybe another advise?
Actually, I am not looking for the advise as much as I am interested in whether too much sex (or any sex at all) interrupts muscle building?
 
Oh, and I sometimes have sex just minutes after the training, is that bad?
 
ive never heard of sex interfering with muscle building.

i wouldnt worry about it...even at that frequency...

Have sex, lots of it, all the time!!!!! Who cares if it did interfere?! Certainly not me! Have more sex man, PLEASE!!!

Sex is good for the ol' cardiovascular and so long as your doing it after your workout (so as not to drain your energy before your workout) then I would suspect it is no different then going for a jog, or two.
 
It's not the cardio-vascular over-training I am worried about. It's the hormones. After training and love I feel like in heaven, but it lasts 20-30 minutes and than I hit the sack. Must be the lack of Testosterone.
 
Ur a freak!!! Do u really care that much about body building that u'd cut down on sex to aid it????? ur crazy. sex is the best thing for ur body and mind.
 
Well... I don't suppose I will slow down no matter what you tell me anyway. But still, I would like to have an expert opinion. Anyone know where I can seek advise?
Doctors don't understand much in body building...
 
Well it's not the same, masturbation doesn't turn me on and shut me off like sex, but in general, I think it's the ejaculation part that worries me, so yes.
 
There have been numerous research studies on men after sex. There's a hormone that's released that makes men tired after ejaculation.
Why?
Because we're still a young species, and to ensure the species survives and thrives, men need to be able to procreate often. Thus our bodies release a relaxing, sleep inducing hormone so that we can begin to recover prior to our next 'session'. Obviously some people are really affected, while others aren't...and then there's all the people in the middle that get sleepy, but have no problems fighting off the urge.

Also, free testosterone levels are lower after strength training, so IMO the best time for sex is post-workout. Drink your shake, get a little, then take a nap for 30 mins. Then you can have your Post-post workout meal.
 
OK, I scored me some Tribulus from Optimum Nutrition, it's 625mg per capsule and sounds pretty clean, I would assume around 40% saponins. I drink it 3 times a day and I gotta tell you guys, it really does help a lot! My horny'ness levels are like 50% higher and I recover faster after a "hard day's night"... Does it have any anabolic goodies in it or is it just to give energy? Anyway, I would recommend!
 
I think the the increase or decrease in testosterone is negligible. I'm no longer having sex or masturbating (well, cutting down on mastubation ALOT anyway). I'll let you know in 3 months if I've made gains any faster than normal.

The actual sex or masturbation doesn't affect testosterone as much as arrousal does. Notice how you workout harder in the gym when there is a super hot chick working out within 10 feet of you? Men's Health did a short write up about how those hot chicks in the gym are good for pumping up your testosterone some.

If you're having that much sex, how do you even have time to train, or the energy for that mater.........................LOL. Even if there was proof that ejaculation decreased your test levels, I don't know any man who would trade one off for the other.............I'm a chick and I still know this, you guys are all dirty dogs!!!! LOL, besides, you said you had a GF, and if you stop feeding the puppy, the puppy will go next door!!!! ( kiddin)
 
Hell if I was getting sex every day I wouldn't even worry about it either. =P
