What is a " %s g Serving"?

Sorry, while the idea is a healthier version..any version of this is going to pack on the calories as you eat constantly.

I do see what the idea is. This is for a large group of people, not one person. You might have one or two servings of this but, hopefully, so will a bunch more people.

As with any 'party' item, you need to keep yourself in check with moderation.

2 "servings" is two bites. I asked about this section and was told it is linked to another site that is for people who want to gain weight, not just lose. So this is great for someone who wants to gain, but there is no healthy alternative to 7 Layer Dip that allows for someone who wants to lose to have more than a couple bites. Oh, and the "servings" don't count the chip calories.

I agree w/ Jericho...the whole point of this is to show that you can still enjoy your favorites, in moderation, and prepare it in a slightly less caloric manner...little changes add up.

HOWEVER, this is NOT prepared in a "slightly less" caloric way. It's made the exact same way I've made 7 layer dip for 30 years. Yes, I made 7 Layer Dip with my mother when I was 14 years old and we did it the same way. There's no "reduced fat" anything in the recipe. This is simply not a healthy alternative, it's your basic recipe.

Did you even bother to read what was said? That I asked a mod about this and she explained that this section is linked automatically to another site. These recipes are not guaranteed to be lower in calories than the originals.

The recipes that are posted here are posted on the main fitness.com website and are fed to this board. That means that the recipes on fitness.com are NOT necessarily diet or weight loss related. They are also recipes that serve the weight lifting/bodybuilding boards here ... and the entire site at large.

People should make note of the serving sizes and calories when reading these recipes. They are not all "diet friendly".

Thank you Kara.

You can replace a lot of the stuff in this recipe with healthy alternatives.

I have never made a 7 layer dip before so I like this post.
