I enjoy reading self improvement books or listening to them as e-books. I actually gather encouragement from and refer back to them from time to time.
I have three that just recently arrived in the mail.
• The Power of Self-Coaching – The five essential steps to creating the life you want by Joseph J. Luciani Ph.D
• Why Zebras Don’t Get Ulcers – The acclaimed guide to stress, stress-related diseases and coping by Robert M. Sapolsky
• The Courage to Be Yourself: A Woman's Guide to Emotional Strength and Self-Esteem By Sue Patton Thoele
I listened to an e-book last year that I liked a lot. It was called ‘Monday Again?!’ I can’t remember the author’s name. It was a male….
• As A Man Thinketh by James Allen (e-book)
I wouldn’t consider myself a depressed or stressed out person at all. I love where it seems my life is heading. But I do have to deal with an overloaded calendar sometimes. This is Final Exams Week (I'm studying to be a scientist...'nuff said) and these types of e/books remind me to slow down, just do what I can and everything I’m able to accomplish is just fine since that was my best.
Mystery novels, creative writings, non-fiction books and fantasy tales are all excellent and I own those too but I think it’s nice to also get things on personal development.
What about you? ^_^
