Hello,
I'm new to the forums
and I was wondering if I could get some advice.
About 7-8 months ago before I moved I weighed about 250lbs
I'm currently 25, 5'10, 177lbs and my target weight is about 140-150lbs.
I walk 3-6 miles every day (outside) and workout 6 days a week ranging from 1-2 hours each day with usually 2 weight lifting days and 4 cardio focused days.
Since I've recently moved I've been on a small food budget limiting my diet to the following...
Kashi cereal and fat free soy milk for breakfast
Pure protein bar for lunch
Grilled Chicken breast (skinless) and veggies for dinner
Fruits to snack on in between if needed, usually bananas, apples .etc
and only Water, Orange juice and Diet Green tea for beverages.
No bread, No junk food, no pasta, nothing fried .etc
Which equals out to about 1100-1200 calories per day.
I've lost about 30lbs on this diet and workout routine, I usually feel fine but I do lack energy from time to time depending on how hard I push my workout sessions.
My previous diet was about half my current diet (500-600 calories per day) which caused me to lose a lot of weight but didn't make me feel healthy at all.
This one feels more balanced and I've noticed improvements in my health and overall physique but I was wondering...
1. Is my diet bad for my health?
2. Should I worry about gaining a slow metabolism? since I'd really dislike gaining back the weight after working so hard to take it off.
3. Should I be exercising more?
4. Will I be able to hit my target weight?
Thanks for your time,
P.S: I hope I'm posting this in the right place
