Hi,
I have no clue where else to put this. I have tried searching all over the internet and I can't find anything... I hardly even know how to describe it!
I have been experiencing something really horrible in my sleep I think could possibly be linked to my start of excercise. Let me explain...
For the past 3 nights I have awaken in the night to a very uncomforatable, unbearable, almost painful feeling. My whole body feels as thought it has blown up an incredible size. It feels like deadweight... Like my body is a corpse (The only word I can find to describe it) I know it isn't sleep paralysis because I am able to move like I always do. This corps-ish/bloated feeling is also accompanied by a horrible feeling in the stomach... Almost as if my body is eating itself. ... These are the only words I can use to describe this strange feeling.
The first night I had it I panicked! I was awake (But not entirely) and I instantly remembered having the feeling many years ago when I was about 9 years old (I had it during an afternoon nap on a day I was very sick) ... This was the only other time I had it. I remember, though, when I was 9 this feeling was accompanied by a strange dream. Sometimes when I would go to sleep in the years since then, my mind would show me a flicker of this dream, and I would feel the sensation for a tiny moment and spring awake very panicked.
I want to add also that I cannot remember ANYTHING about the way it feels after I snap out of it. All I remember is that it was awful. But I instantly know it when it hits me.
I have been quite worried though that an experience as strange and bizzare as the one that happened to me 10 years ago would suddenly come back for 3 nights in a row. This is a very powerful feeling and it's like torture. I'm worried there might be something seriously wrong with me... I'm wondering if anyone else on here has ever had something like this. ... In the past when I would wake up after doing heavy exercise I would wake up screaming because my calves would suddenly be in extreme pain. But I read these were charlie horses.
Just to add... When my dad was a teenager he gave himself what the docters called "exhaustion" (On a bike) where he was bedridden for over a month and had very scary hallucinations. I started getting these strange nighttime experiences just 1 day after I did my first 9 mile bikeride (I was very worn out by it!) I'm curious if it could be something like that?
I'm sorry that this post was so long/strange... But I'm quite worried and would like to get to the bottom of this... I'm actually worried about going to bed tonight!
