Saying hi...

Hi, I'm new here and wanted to make my first post. :)

Just a little about me and my weight:
I was very overweight for most of my life. Almost two years ago after many failed attempts at losing weight I thought I would give it one more shot. And well I've lost 64 pounds. I would like to lose another 10 to 15 pounds. My weight sounds "normal" and is in the "normal" range, but I didn't exercise as much as I should have, so I have a lot more fat on me than muscle (I questions if I even have any muscles sometimes) .:p I'd like to lose the last pounds (or most) before I head off to college this August. I just need to actually exercise and get motivated.

Anyway, I like encouraging others to lose weight and I'm very happy to hear about their weight loss stories, as I find them motivating. :) So hopefully I will like it here.

Good morning and welcome to the forum. I'm sure you will like it here.

Congratulations on your weight loss so far. I've met my goal too, and am in a normal range, but still have plenty of fat on my body. It's hard to get that fat off.

Try strength training to add a little musle. There is an exercise section here you might like.

Will you be starting a diary?

Thank you. :) I was just finally ready, and finally started losing weight for me, not for anyone else which I think I was doing before.

When I first started I was steal eating meat, so my usual day was something like:

B: 1 hard boiled egg w/ teaspoon of reduced fat mayo & 1 cup of milk
S: A Popsicle or low calorie ice cream bar
L: Stir fry, lots of vegetables and beef strips. (I only had a small serving though, about half of what I normally would.)
S: Another small serving of stir fry, again half of what I would normally have.
D: Usually a weight watchers frozen meal. I liked the cheddar & broccoli one. Probably not as good for me as I thought, but I didn't realize back then.

If I got hungry after I'd usually have some fruit like grapes, or a veggie like a cucumber. I always had water with my meals, except for breakfast.

And as you can tell by my laziness in even coming back to this post I'll get to sidetracked for a diary. :p I've been doing tae bo tapes with weights now, and soon with the resistance band, but I can't afford a gym right now, so its hard to do what I want to do.
