I've got a pair of 14-year-old Nikes that I used to run in a long, long time ago. I've added walking/jogging to my routine and I've noticed some major pains in my hips and knees. I know it's because of the shoes and the shifting that's occuring when I jog.
I have a super high instep.
I went to the store to get new running shoes and was asking all kinds of questions about getting running shoes that will help me keep my step in line plus arch support. I was counting on getting Aisics because that's what I used to run in and they have GREAT arch support.
The guy talked me into purchasing arch supports instead. I HATE them! They make my toes scrunch up and push my foot so tall up that my foot is falling out of my shoes.
I'm taking them back tomorrow and buying me a darn good pair of shoes.
Any suggestions?? The 3 stores I went to the other day gave me absolutely NO help. No one had any suggestions for arch support running shoes and all they'd say is Nike is good.
I tend to jog on the balls of my feet too.
So, anyone got any ideas of good running shoes for a high arched tipee-toed girl?
Thanks!
Shel
