I have been running for about an hour a day (a mix of sprinting, jogging, and just plain running) with about 15 minutes of stretch/resting but afterwards I get really nauseous and dizzy. I drink about 12-15 cups of water a day or more and I take in more than enough calories (i think). I just started a few days ago and I am thinking that might be the cause. I have ran like this before (I ran track) but it is killing me right now. Any advice???

Are you holding your breath during your sprints? Running can cause dizziness and disorientation if you dont regulate your breathing.

I'm pretty sure I breath ewhile I'm running, I usually try to regulate how I breathe and I try to make some sort of rhythm.

There could be many reasons that explains why you're getting dizzy:

1. Over-exertion, like running too far too fast.

2. Inner ear sensitivity leading to vertigo.

3. One of the biggest culprits is low blood sugar.

4. Dehydration

5. Motion sickness

I'm sure there's more, these are some of the bigger ones.

start slower and work your way up to running faster - see if you are indeed overexerting yourself... and if it keeps up - go to a doctor...

what are you eating before running? Drinking water is good while you run but also as you run you sweat and lose salt and other minerals from your body. The body must be in a good balance (electrolytes)- what comes out must come in. Try to drink the "power drinks" before you run, during and after and see if it helps. These drinks have good balance of minerals. Also make sure you eat carbs before exercise (an hour before) so your body (muscles) have energy. Juices are also great after exercise.
