I just discovered the joys of a stationary bicycle.
I was wondering which was more beneficial/effective when it comes to weight loss: pedaling faster with less resistance or pedaling slightly slower with more? I haven't been sure so I've been kinda switching it up during my workouts - 2-5 minutes of going really fast with no resistance and then 2-5 minutes of going slower with more resistance.
I get at least 30 minutes a day, 60 on the days I don't have class which i break into two 30 min parts. For those days I was thinking of doing one of the 30 mins with all out cardio with no resistance, and the other 30 mins using heavy resistance?
PS- I'm using 'weight loss' very vaguely here. I guess I should say fat loss - I'm fine with gaining muscle weight, I'm more concerned with how I look and my clothing size.
