I've tried looking, and I've clicked around to check stickies, and used the search and my luck it's probably right infront of my face, but I was just curious about resistance training?

how does it work?

what do you need to do?

is the some posts you could refer me to or a website perhaps? I want to do it cheaply, so preferably with a resistance band. Something I can do on my own.

Sorry if this has already been asked, i just can't seem to find it :blush5:

Resistance training is a bit of a catchall term for both weight lifting and body resistance work. Basically you're talking about any type of exercise that stresses the muscles - singly or in groups (although in groups is better) and helps to build strength and muscle.

Some of the very basic exercises you can do w just your own body weight include squats, lunges, push ups, chin ups and pull ups, dips, and step ups.

Here are a couple of stickies in the exercise forum that will help you understand how weight lifting (and body resistance) will help:
