Really need your help to get slim for summer!

Hi im 15 and im new!

I weight about 10st 8lbs and have so little confidence because of my stomach. Now, i know you can't spot reduce, i would like to burn fat all over but mostly on stomach and face. I found out recently that i am going on holidays on the 8th of july and i really really need to get slimmer or i will not be able to enjoy myself.

My confidence is so low that i dont even go out because im afraid people will notice how fat i am and when i do go out i wear a lot of clothes to cover my stomach because it looks bloated. So, if i dont get slimmer for summer i wont be getting in the pool...

Could you please help me get slimmer by maybe advising me on what to eat and stuff? I have also heard that exercises with your own bodyweight are good, if you know of the best bodyweight exercises could you please share them? I also have 2.5lbs weights so i could make it more intense.

My suggestion would be to start a diary in the weight loss diary section, here:

Weight Loss Diary - Weight Loss Forum

You can get a lot of feedback on what you're currently doing so that you can start to make healthy dietary changes. The best thing you can do is to just start making small changes, rather than trying to do something drastic that you will not stick with. A few general tips are things like:

1. Drink more water
2. Eat more fruits and vegetables
3. Have mostly lean protein like turkey, chicken, and fish
4. Limit fatty and oily foods
5. Limit sweets & sugar in general
6. Eat breakfast!

This is by no means a complete list, but just making one or two small changes at a time can really help!

As for the exercise, can you find some things here that you could do at home:

Free Exercises, Exercise Instructions, Custom Workout, Personalized Workout, Ab Exercises, Abdominal Exercises, Training Programs

Even 20-30 mins or strength exercises 2-3 times per week can be a great start! Also figure out what type of cardio you like to do such as walking, doing stairs, biking, wii dance :), etc. and just try even 10 mins, then gradually build up the length of time that you do.

This is by no means a complete list for what to do, but small changes really do count!

Is it possible to lose 1st 5 pounds by july or is that asking too much? Do you know how many pounds you have to lose to lose about an inch off your abdomen?And, would it be possible to lose 3 inches off my abdomen or is that asking too much too? Thanks,

It's definitely possible to lose 1st 5lbs by July... assuming that's approx. 13 weeks, that would put you at an average of just under 1.5 lbs of weight loss per week, which is a healthy rate to lose weight. As for losing inches, that's very hard to say.... Everyone loses weight differently, so it's impossible to say how much will come off of your abdomen. All I can say is that eating healthy and exercising regularly is the ONLY way that you will lose weight and keep it off in the long run. Don't fall for any 'diet' supplements, pills, or exercise gimmicks.... those companies just want your hard-earned money!
