Hi. I'm new here. My screen name is flower_lily. I joined this forum because someone said something mean to me last night and it made me realize that I'm NOT happy with myself anymore. I want better for myself. I want to feel good about myself before I leave this world.
A little back ground. I'm 21--22 this Saturday
. I stand 5'2 and weight 200 lbs. I gained about 60 lbs over the past two years. I put on the weight because I started college and wasn't really active. I spent a lot of time watching TV and doing things on the PC. I was a very inactive person. Today, I'm still sorta "inactive", but I actually do more. Thing is, it's not enough to help me lose weight, plus I eat a lot.
My goal is to lose about 70-85 lbs within the next year, year 1/2. I know what I need to do, it's just sticking with the plan and following through. I have a problem with "getting caught in the moment". For example, if I'm around a bunch of people who are eating fastfood, the temptation is too high to control myself. I will more than likely order fastfood. My whole diet is screwy.
I'm on here because I was wondering if anyone on lost weight and if so, did you feel better about yourself mentally??
