Ready, Set, Go!

I have a feeling that this could be a long first entry ;}

I guess the best place to start would be to be at the beginning and with the truth.

I cannot remember where there hasn't been a time when I've not had a problem with my weight. I've was always the "fussy kid" and I'd believe I'd grow out of it but I never had. I have a fear of trying new food and therefore have relied on the good old junk food kids always eat and that's what helped me become the weight that I am.
I've been on numerous diets so more extreme than others but I've come to realise that if I don't change the way that I am with my eating habits then it'll never happen. The only way to do that is to face up to my fear of trying new foods and just go with it because I can't take being this weight.
As of late, I've been eating pretty healthy. I've cut done on the junk a lot and have taken to eating more fruit, I've managed to try and start to enjoy salads. I've tried and now enjoy rice and have swap normal cereal to high fiber muesli, I've swap white bread for wholemeal rolls and given up fizzy drinks. It's a start.
I've increased the amount of time I exercise. I try to get 1 hour of exercise everyday except Sunday and started to go swimming again as well as going to the gym.
At my highest weight, I was 154lbs and I am currently 141.5. I'd love to get to 115lbs although I have to have a realistic goal because I tend to be a little unrealistic with goals.

You do not mention your height.

Some of us would look too thin at 115 pounds - it depends on our build. Magazines are full of models that do not really represent how real women actually look or should look if they are healthy. It is after all as unhealthy to be too thin as to be too fat.

It looks like you have made some great steps forward with food and exercise - and indeed - congratulations on your weight loss to date.

It is certainly worth analysing your food to check that your calories and nutrients are at the right level. An example being is that muesli can be quite high in calories and people can be having more than they think with it.

I'm 5"3 so because I'm quite small I think that being at 115lbs would be right for my height.

I think I need to take a closer look at the foods that I'm eating because at the moment, I'm eating around 1300-1400 calories which is a little less that what you calculated. Also I think that in all honesty I'm focusing more on the calories than the other nutritional stuff so I'm going to have to find a balance.
