RANT: He's morbidly obese, why is he giving advice and telling others what to do??

Even the slimmest person can have a picture taken from an odd angle or that makes them look fat.

Every photo I've seen of Michelle Obama, she looks to be in great shape. Not super skinny, but not at all fat. I would love to have a figure like hers.

It's this kind of shit .. where a normal, healthy woman is ragged for being "fat" ... that causes body image issues for women in America. MO is absolutely NOT fat. And saying she is ... well that's simply stupidity and ignorance.

Agreed! Michelle Obama should have her ribs sticking out and not an ounce of flesh anywhere and zero muscle and then she'd be 'healthy'. *eye roll*

When you see things like the photoshopped Ralph Lauren model, you really don't have to make much of a leap of faith to accept that society has reached the point of ultimate stupidity on looking thin in the media.

UGG! That picture (the Ralph Lauren model, not MO) is seriously gross. Why would they even do that? She doesn't look good and that certainly doesn't make me want to buy their clothes.

You're wrong on one thing though, society hasn't "reached the point of ultimate stupidity on looking thin in the media". It's blown right past it and is so far on the other side that it can't even see it. Dear lord, that would be a size what? -4? I think my 6 year old (who is at the perfect weight for her age and height) has about that size waist.

From the male PoV, that Ralph Lauren model is kinda scary. She looks like shes literally about to snap in half. There's a significant difference between skinny and anorexic.

She should star in the next tim burton movie
That or Jack Skellington is actually a ralph lauren model
More countries should follow the example of Spain and set a minimum weight limit for models, or at least take the intention of Spain and perfect it more.

I don't remember where I've seen that picture before, but actually it's a photoshop, I believe.

No it is a photoshop (the real model was fired for being too fat) the point is that society is to the point where this is considered acceptable as an image to sell clothes. This is considered aspirational!

Same for these models getting ready at Brazil fashion week

I agree with chefchitown, just because he is overweight doesnt mean he doesnt know what he is talking about.

The poor kids in the picture look so uncomfortable. :(

I really wish people in society would realize that zero is not a size. :ack2:

That model has been Photoshopped. It was a big controversy in the photography/magazine/modeling world. The real model is quite pretty with a nice figure .. but Ralph Lauren decided she needed to be "skinnier".

The model is Fillipa Hamilton, who has been a RL model for years. She was supposedly fired by RL earlier this year for being "overweight" (at 5'10" and 120 lbs).

Here's an article about her and her experience with RL:

Agreed Tamago - I was just thinking that she looks like a cartoon. If I saw someone walking around defying the laws of physics and biology that way, I would probably scream and run away... seriously. She is SCARY. Guess scary's the new sexy?

Wait, so that 'shopped RL photo was a REAL ad??

Yep. And when a photoshop disasters website made fun of it, RL threatened them with cease and desist legal action stuff. This actually then propelled it into the mainstream media and finally RL apologized. It's like - how warped do you have to be to not catch that the model has no ribs?

Yeah, I got that the ad was 'shopped, I just can't believe that we've come to the point were they feel they have to photoshop a 120 pound model because she's "too fat". And especially to that level. She doesn't even look human. :ack2:

But, boy...can she sell clothes or what?
