Ranjan's Progress Tracker

so much :cheers2: and there tommorow as well for more:cheers2:

this week might be one of those cheat days today and tommorow 2 days in a row.

Gained this week which is fine, I never ever blame water weight =). Last Tuesday, I decided to test whether I can go 8 min or less on a mile run and I did. The drawback is I woke up Wednesday with a painful heel whenever I put pressure.. plantar fasciitis =(. I went to the store and bought the Dr. Scholls insoles to reduce the pressure on my heels. Wed - Fri I did a light 30 min walk which has in the fat burn range (yay.) Right now its better than it on Wed my heels are getting much better can't wait for it to fully heal and start jogging again.

This week I was able to hit the 45 lbs mark which is very very good progress as I look back when I started and I always see that big 45 lbs. weight on the gym and as I lift that 45 lbs. weight, I couldn't believe that much weight disapeared from my body.

This week is probably the week where I am able to do both morning and afternoon workouts straight. Mornings sometimes your body does not want to do anything and its really hard to get up and start burning that fat early in the morning. Props to you guys if you can do mornings, im still not on the routine for the morning, but I am getting there. The morning workouts really helped me lose alot this week.

Also I check the Blood Donor Website today since I will be donating blood this upcoming Wednesday and they include a Free Cholesterol Level Check everytime you donate and seriously the results with proper diet and exercise dropped my LDL Cholesterol Level here it is:

12/07/2009 - 159
02/22/2010 - 145
04/27/2010 - 113
Upcoming This Wednesday 07/22/2010 - ??

The Pic of the 45 lbs weight that disapeared from my body =D Here is a pic of the 45 lbs differenceView attachment 13279

I did not get a chance to donate blood since I was defered due to being out of country during my vacation. I had a little laugh when the person taking my vitals was like your pulse is really really slow. He recorded a 53 beats per minute.

On the fitness side, bought some new running shoes and it was very very nice. I just can't stop running. I usually do a 15 min warmup jog before I workout I ended up doing an hour. This week I ended up with 1 hour of jogging then hour of weights then an hour of cardio.

BANANAS! bananas are one the best fruits and it has been helping me recover after daily workout everyday. Have one after a workout! youll see a difference =D

Update Time - Been busy lately so I was not able to update last week. For me the hardest and most important thing right now is I need to "rest" let my body heal, but whenever I take a rest, I feel like I am wasting time like I should be exercising instead of sitting in the couch watching tv. I adjusted my workout schedule since I think I am pushing myself way too much
Monday - Gym
Tuesday - Rest
Wed and Thurs - Gym
Friday - Rest
Saturday - Gym
Sunday - Rest.

Currently my workout consist of 1 hour of light cardio on the treadmill followed by weights for an hour then finishing it off with either the stair master, bike, or elliptical for an hour. It might be too much cardio for some people, but hey you know your body more than anyone what your capabilities what you can do and can't do.

Basically the same workout this week with rests, feeling really good that I am getting rest still feeling guilty whenever I take rest that I should be doing something. Ended up walking around the park whenever on my "rest days"

Food I added in my nutritional diet "Pinto Beans" this is like a miracle bean very High Dietary Fiber think folate and potassium, must be the bean from "Jack and the Bean Stalk" Once I added this to my diet I felt better than before in my body function, simply put I felt better overall. I am already feeling better, but adding this puts it up higher. So, Overall try Pinto Beans make sure they don't added extra added salt or put "lard" (why oh why do they put that.) So try PINTO BEANS!

and for dinner earlier Mixed Salad (mixed herbs, organic spinach mainly)and 2 x4oz of Wild Caught Salmon!

One of the habits that I used to do during my weight loss progress is weighing myself everyday, as I progress I weigh myself less and less like this week, I haven't touched the scale at all until tonight to put write down my weight so I can post it this week, I just drank like a gallon of water prior to weighing myself so I am sure I lost more this week, there no such thing as too much water as long as you feel thirsty drink drink drink.

Overall progress have been great haven't eaten fast food, drink cola, or anything that can stall my goal since prior to starting back in Feb. I am adding "whey protein" as part of my diet and its been great making a whey protein shake in the morning , salad lunch, lean meat + salad for dinner and lots lots of water.

I think its time again to shop last time I went shoping was back in April for new sets pants again starting to get way to loose again and a lower size shirts =)

Busy week, workout this week was great the gym is getting packed especially in the cardio side which is GREAT, I enjoy seeing alot of people working hard and it motivates me to work even harder, some days I have to wait for my turn on the cardio machines since its so pack.

one of the things that became a habit to me during my weight loss was knowing the ingredients of the food that I am about to eat (if I don't know, I won't eat it picky picky), especially when eating out I have the tendency to ask "what are the ingredients" That doesn't mean I won't isolate myself and blab about how unhealthy the food is and ruin it for everyone, if theres a party, I eat what everyone eats I would just take the proper portion and work it out the next day. The habit of saying to yourself, I'll eat a slice of this delicious cheesecake (maybe 400 cal) and make it up by doing extra 30 min cardio in your workout is somewhat impossible if you don't have the motivation to follow up with your self made promise. From experience what I learned from my weight loss failures during the past years, this scenario would happen I avoid the cheesecake then you feel bad later that day you became an emotional eater you lose track I end up eating more and more ends up to FAIL then you feel bad about eating all that food and for some reason you can't stop drink a liter of cola eat eat eat. One of the things I learned to make my weight loss successful is I accept what I am about to consume and the motivation to work it out the next day or later that day. It's hard at first but once it becames part of your life it becomes normal.

One of the things I add as I progress is adding new workouts like for example when I started out for the first 2 months I believe I was just in the elliptical machine as my stamina increase, lose weight, and my body got used to it. I went to the treadmill, stairmaster, and so forth. One of the goals I am "trying" to accomplish is the "pull ups" maybe in later weeks, I will attempt to try it, but for me as far as I can remeber I haven't done a single pull up in my life which is sad able to do this will be big for me.

Ok, time for me to stop typing or ill end up typing non-stop lol

I found this pair of shorts that I used to wear on the corner of my closet, turns out that short was the short I took a picture before I started this journey. It's a big difference and the good thing about it is I am half way there, long way to go, more hard work and sweat, and new challenging workout to come. Also I always wear my fight against cancer wrist band LIVESTRONG!

A week where I was able to go to the gym once this week and spend the rest of the week healing. Running so much day by day takes a toll. It was good not to feel that needle feeling in the morning when you have plantar fasciitis. To offset the time that I was not in the gym, this week, I micromanage what I was consuming keeping it between 1000-1500 calories a day. I ended up most of the week consuming almonds, salad, whey protein, chicken breast, or slim fast shake and lots lots of water.

Been way too busy so much going on, been traveling so much this past week so no comp access just using my iPhone I'll scale up once I get home. Doing exercises away from home like jogging or working out stretching like in a hotel takes slot of discipline so props to you guys who are accustomed to that type

back home again, this past 2 weeks majority of what I am doing is counting my calories staying at the 1500-2000 daily.

about 2 weeks ago, I went to the doctor to the my annual physical and to know what my cholesterol level is at since I cannot donate blood for a year no free cholesterol check. Suprise suprise when they found out about my previous weight from last year's check up which was clocked at 271 lbs to 206 lbs (with shoes and heavy clothes on).

My LDL (Bad Cholesterol) was at
12/07/2009 - 159
02/22/2010 - 145
04/27/2010 - 113

My current one :
10/09/2010
LDL - 59
HDL - 46
Triglycerides - 48
Total Cholesterol - 115

From 159 to 59, a 100 mg drop in 10 months,Just wow I rewarded myself earlier by doing a 2 hour jog in the treadmill. Preparing for a marathon next year!

Not really weighing myself so much nowadays compared as before. I guess this why some people say not to weigh yourself everday just once a week because they hit a certain point in their weight loss where its all about feeling great and you see your progress through endurance and stamina as you workout and that weighing yourself priority becomes less of a priority due to seeing your results based on what you do.

Jogging, I been jogging so much that its like an addiction that I bought an actual running shoes Asics Gt 2150 which is worth every penny. I been logging 40-50 miles of jogging a week and fitting in my regular weight lifting schedule, still adding new varieties of work out.

Running so much, I hit a point where I was burning more than I was consuming and it is taking a toll on the length of my run that I have to consume more food healthy ofcourse. I am eyeing for running a marathon in the next year and I just want to do it where I just feel very comfortable to do it in less than 4 hours

dudde.....if i look half as good as you do in about six months i'll be happy...i'm really getting motivated seeing all these awesome stories and realizing that i really can do this if i just put forth the effort...
