Quick Introduction

Hi All,

I guess as new member I should give a quick intro. I'm 27 years old, happily married with 2 kids under 3. I've always been a big guy, which I have been fine with. However, after high school, I busted my knee and went from playing 3 sports to none. I probably jumped from about 220lbs to about 300lbs during college. That never really stopped me.

However, in May I decided that I need to be healthier to set an example for my children - and to be around for them as long as possible.

My starting weight was on May 10th was 313.9lbs (at 6'1"). I am currently at 240.7. I have made an overall lifestyle change. I work-out regularly. But the biggest change has been my awareness of what I eat and how much. I try to stick to about a 1600-2000 calorie diet each day, but basically eat what I want. I find that I tend to want healthy foods most of the time, but I allow myself almost anything within reason.

When I started to lose I thought I would never make it even as low as 275. My goal was 265 by Christmas. Well, I've blown that away so far. I am now working toward 215 and then I'll go from there. I have no deadline any more, but it would be nice to lose 100lbs within a year.

I've enjoyed reading around this forum and hope to become involved.

Thanks!

Welcome! That's so awesome that you reached your original goal and then some, and good luck with the next goal. :)
