I just recently joined this website because I plan to lose some weight and I thought it would be a nice place to go to get help with this. Here's my question, though. I just started this last Friday and when I weighed myself I was 215. During the next week I couldn't get much exercise in due to the fact that the weather was unbearable to work in and I didn't know where else to turn. I did however stop eating as much as I used to (no, I didn't stop eating completely. I just stopped eating all my little 'snacks') and I switched from Soda to Water. I stepped on the scale again today and amazingly it said I weighed 205. It sounds good, but I don't think it's right. Is it possible for that to happen, even though I didn't exercise that much?

Obviously it's possible - who are you going to believe, strangers on the internet, or your own lying eyes? ;)

If you're asking whether you lost 10 pounds of fat in a week, the answer to that is no. But there's a good chance that you lost something, and if you stick to a healthy diet, consume fewer calories than you burn, and exercise, you'll keep losing.
