Question regarding BMR

I am 6 ft, 260 age 25. My goal is to get to 245 by may and eventually down to 225 by my birthday in November. I have been working out for about 3 months on and off, and now i am finally getting in a routine of 30 min cardio and 30 min weight lifting 6 days a week. I was wondering if somebody can tell me it is okay to eat less then your bmr. My bmr is 2426 and I eat about 2000 calories a day and burn about 450 calories in exercise.
