Question about the right diet

Hi guys! I'm determined on losing weight and I'm currently developing a program of my own. One problem I encounter is on what should I follow? Is the south beach diet a good one? Could you recommend better types of diet if not the best? Thanks. I would really appreciate a reply or an answer to my query.

I personally don't believe in diets. :) There are two problems with diets, IMO. One is that they're usually too restrictive and set people up for disappointment and ultimately, failure. The other is that everyone has this concept of "going on" a diet, but no one talks about what happens when you "go off" the diet.

I prefer to think of changing the way I eat permanently. For me what works is a combination of clean eating - eating real foods and avoiding packaged and processed foods as much as possible, counting my calories, and watching to make sure I get a balanced percentage of macro-nutrients - carbs, protein, and fat.

Most diet's will "work", if you restrict yourself to them. However, they are basically that - restrictive. So you try a certain diet to put yourself in a weird calorie deficit, and you lose weight and get skinnier for a little while. Then you start eating "normal" nutritious foods again, and you gain it all back, usually more than you were before.

the "recommended" way to eat is to be nutritious, eat the right foods under the right amount of calories and you will see progress that you can stick to for the rest of ur life, imo

Whats Up

Diets can work if you are committed, but if you don't maintain some sort of exercise regime you run the risk of muscle loss. Ask yourself what bodytype or you, how much & what type of exercise do participate in & what your final goal is fat loss, muscle gain or whatever.
