Question about my Body Type

I have what I'm pretty sure is an hour glass body type. I've always been chesty (C cup before I gained all my weight, D cup since weight gain), Strong shoulders, a smaller waist, and a lil bit of a getto booty with muscular thighs and legs. I've always been very athletic also.

Now my question is - Since I've always had a "getto booty" and muscular thighs and legs ... should I even BOTHER doing butt and leg exercises with weights (for toning) ? I ask this because I never liked my legs - they were always muscular and never looked sleek and slender. I wish I had dancer's legs (sigh), but I don't. So since I don't want them to be any more muscular than the way they naturally are - should I bother doing toning for my legs and butt - or just cut that out completely and stick to the cardio and the upper body toning alone ?

I think you should still do those exercises. For when you lose the weight, youll want muscle to make your physique athletically pleasing. The extra muscle will also remove a significant portion of the sag that might accompany significant weight loss.

Here is the tradeoff (and sorry if it's not fair, it's often true)

1. The extra muscle will make your legs and butt look better naked
2. Youll probably look better in jeans if you avoid gaining the leg muscle.

To get a better idea, I'd really need to know how much of a ghetto booty do you have, the density of your legs, etc.

It depends on your personal tastes, and there are lots of men that love that look. Be you, the best you you can be, which to me is strong and toned (which you get through having muscle). I wouldn't worry about it looking too big if its not fat and its nice muscle. I personally prefer to have my glutes be as big and bubbly as possible. The muscle makes it look very round and perky.

I've seen this guy trolling craigslist too!

Looking better in jeans is just about finding the right style jeans for one's body - it's got nothin' at all to do with leg muscle :)

Glamour Magazine devotes one issue a year to that quest...

and that's mal's fashion tip for the day.

There is a limit to what jeans can do! But what I will say is that there is NOTHING more disappointing than a girl who pulls off a great body with a strategically devised outfit and then you find out the truth.

Lol,

Now i realize that lights on are way better than lights off -but come on -- naked is naked... if you can't accept that any form of naked is good then well -stick with girls honey :)

Hi Julie!
I still haven't made it to the store to get the shake mix.. but soon maybe :)

Anyway, I just wanted to add maybe instead of doing heavy duty leg exercises (like the machines at the gym) you could do light toning like the type of exercises dancers do... maybe that's why they have legs like that!! lol
There is this show called classical stretch that I enjoy. Here in Denver it's on our public broadcasting channel at 5:30 in the morning, I'm not sure when it would be on where you are..... Have a good one!

Ok... I just looked for it.. They have all sorts of info on the show at ClassicalStretch. com cool!
They say it's great for achieving the "long and lean" look!
