question about lowering calories for fat loss

hey
im just wondering ... i know that the ideal amount of calories to take off is 500 from your daily calorie intake (which u stay the same weight at) ..
but my question is this ...
i am fairly active ... i try to run at least 5 times a day (interval training in the morning) ...
my estimate bmr is about 2000 calories a day...

now do i eat 1500 calories a day ... even when i run and exercise ... so like a day i burn about 3500 cals do i still only intake 1500 ... or would i need to up the intake to 3000 cals?

hope this isnt too confusing ... i just want to know if i NEED to up the calorie intake if i exercise in a day ... or if i can just stay at 1500 and burn the excess 2000 calories in that one day.
would my body think im starving myself if i dont up the intake.
if i do need to up the calorie intake to 3000 ... would that result in me burning more fat?
hope someone can help .. thanks.

Weigh yourself, and keep track of everything you eat for a week. Find the average number of cals per day and weigh yourself again. If you lost 1 pound then keep eating that number of cals per day. If you lost more then 1 pound add 200 cals and try again. If you lost less then 1 pound subtract 200 cals and try again. Make sure you get your calories evenly spread out through the day between 5-6 meals. Pre/Post workout nutrition is important as well.

yea, well i have already lost about 9lbs over a couple months. (i wasnt that big to start, just enough to take away definition)
even tho i would go on two or three one week training breaks aka vacations.. where i just let it all go and enjoy myself .. even if that includes eating, eating, eating hehe.

but as i already know would happen, its getting harder.
so i just want to make sure im eatin the right (low enough or high enough) amount of calories per day.
i could do the week thing you told me evil, ill have to think about it ... i really dont like taking a week off my normal training unless its for vacation or some sort.

but if i do come to a sudden hault, i will for sure.
its funny, because i dont even have a weight scale in my house.
i just base my progress on the way i feel, and the way i look.
(which i think overall is a better way to do) .. but it would be nice to have for my predicament. ok ive just babeld on ...
but my original question still stands .... if i exercise it is important to up my calorie intake that day to lose max fat loss ? or can i keep calorie intake low still and exercise alot and burn max fat loss.
thanks
