Question about fat and muscles

Hi, I'm trying to loose weight, not a lot but it's just I've got more fat than I'd want to. I've got a question. If I want to loose fat is it better to do aerobic exercises such as swimming, bycicle riding etc. or do muscle exercises with weights. What I'm trying to say is that I really want to loose fat. And the thing is i've got a bit of "mans breasts" and I wanted to know what happens if I do pectoral exercises with weights. Do I first get rid of the fat and THEN start working out the muscle, or start working out without first loosing that fat? Because some people say that if you've got chest fat and you do chest exercises with weights, then you get a strange and more bulky chest shape. So, start with working out (gym or home) or first get rid of fat (swimming tennis bycicle etc.)? Thanks a lot!

you can not spot reduce, when you excersise it removes fat from the entire body... just doing pec work outs wont remove your men breasts, you need to do a combo of cardio (HIIT if you want) and moderate weight training, the more muscle you have the more fat you burn while you inactive.

HIIT:

If your primary goal is to lose fat, than do more cardio. Also lift weights, as that will help speed your metabolism, but you cannot avoid cardio.
As Grammaton said, you cannot spot reduce, but the cardio will help to get rid of the extra fat everywhere (including the chest).

Don't forget a clean, healthy diet!

Yeah spockafina is definatley right. The thing a lot of people miss in their routine is weight-training. Even if you diet and do cardio, your metabolism will stay where it is or even slow down if you don't do some sort of weight training to keep your muscle from deteriorating.

your metabolism will be super fast right after cardio, but it will slow down after about an hour, where as weight training can keep it going for days after.
