Question about couting calories/exercise

Hey everyone,

I'm planning on eating 1200-1500 calories a day to lose weight, I'm just wondering if I workout and burn 500 calories a day, do I need to eat an additional 500 to keep it at 1200 or just as long as I'm eating 1200 per day I can burn off whatever I want and still lose weight?

Listen to your body and if your hungry have a light snack. I wouldn't suggest eating an extra 500 calories a day just because you are burning that much but don't starve yourself either.

Hey . Just my opinion here ,but dont get to hung up about counting calories . concentrate on eating clean and right.
Seriously if you starve you body of calories then it will slow your metabolism down . Which basically means your training your body to survive of less calories . (Or you reaching it burn less calories ). Which obviously isn't good . Long term it your more likely to gain weight after you stop dieting ....

1200 calories really isn't that hard for me to stick to, I've been eating 1200-1500 a day, it's actually a lot easier then I thought it was going to be but I've done a ton of those online calorie deficit calculators and they've all told me to eat that many calories a day, also 90% of the females in the 'before and after' section have all said that's what they did to lose their weight, plus exercise, so it must work.

I'm not starving myself by any means, I eat when I'm hungry and eat something every few hours. I'm really not 'dieting' I'm still eating whatever I want but healthier choices and a lot less of it then I used to.
