Question about Alcohol.

Hi there, I'm new around these parts but have a quick question.

I made a life style change on October 9th of 2010.. I decided I would try to eat healthy and thus I have, thus far I've lost 45 pounds since then and still going down slowly, however Xmas eve is upon here, while I'm turning down all the yummy food, the temptations of alcohol have hit.

Can I gain weight or mess up my diet by having just one drinking night on xmas eve?

No.

You might gain a little but never think one 'off' night or day is something that ruins you. Try to do it in moderation but then just get right back at it. It's ok..really.

I should mention I'm drinking low calorie beer.. Canadian 67 with only 3% alcohol and 67 calories.

Thanks for the reply by the way, I understand It's a busy day for many people.

- Happy holidays.

Something that I would warn you about is the dehydration that alcohol causes. This could empty your system of water and make you feel hungry. Keep drinking water when you start to get hungry again. That might take care of it.

Or do what my mother does, drink vodka and water. Sounds gross right, but i tried it with whiskey and its not SO bad........sort of

One off night will never be what ruins you.
I too am a victim of overdrinking; I just make it a point to really stay on track for the few days that follow, to make up for being such a lush.
