Quazzie new

Hello! I am 29 and a mother of three and a half kids. Half part is a step daughter so she didn't put my body out of whack.
I was obese after my first child, 230 pounds. When I got pregnant with the second, I also developed a serious gallbladder disease. Because of my pregnancy, surgery was no option..low fat to no fat was. I lost 45 pounds during the pregnancy and after the gallbladder was extracted, I lost another 50 pounds with walking as an exercise. I was looking good. For about 3 years I maintained a good figure and felt wonderful. Then I got pregnant again. And so here i am at 180 and trying to lose weight. I did the atkins, the south beach and porked on 40 pounds yo-yoing. They say find a diet or way of eating that you know you can stick to. Eating all meats and few fruits was not something I could obviously stick to. So back to low fat. Low fat is a lot slower, but easier to maintain. I have lost 25 pounds in a little over two months. Now I am starting the walking thing again, about 2 miles a day with some mild weight lifting to tone the flabby wings that once were arms.
My ultimate goal is to be 140 . I want to make my husband WANT me all of the time, not that he doesnt want me now....but i can look better, feel better, be better!
So any interaction from the ladies and gents out there will be helpful

Is walking the only cardio you're doing? Walking 2 miles a day is ok, but I suggest you step it up a notch. Start to add a little more excercise. You could start with low impact aerobics. They may seem silly, but I used to enjoy the Sweating to the Oldies videos, which are cheap and still available. They are easy and fun if you can handle watching Richard Simmons (my husband would leave the room when I did them.) There are other easy videos, too, I just haven't done them. I started with the Oldies after I had my baby and now I'm back up to Tae Bo Advanced!

You're young, so low impact aerobics should be quite possible, it's just a matter of making the time as a busy mother. I do my excercises during my daughter's morning or afternoon nap, or if I'm really lucky, early in the morning before she wakes up. :D

You could try replacing 2 of your daily walks a week with the aerobics for starters. Definitely keep up the walking and weights on days you don't do aerobic sessions. I hope this helps give you some ideas.

Hey there. Congrats on your weight loss so far. Good job!

I agree that you should vary the type of cardio you do. Try a bike, maybe a jog, swimming, anything you enjoy. Also, I think it's super important that you do some weight training. You need to use weights in order to get that toned look you are after. Also, at this point in life your body has naturally started ot let go of muscle a little at a time. Less muscle=lower metabolism. Not good for losing fat or looking toned.

Good luck!

Oh so true...It seems like a lot of people forget about that when doing fat loss.
