Hi All.
New to the site.
Quick background. I used to be a big fitness fanatic back in my teens, county swimmer, body builder, toned, lean, fit. Fell out of love with exercise and the Gym and muscle turned to fat and lazyness turned to apathy. Then life takes over and now mid thirties i really am trying hard to get back to how i was. Starting with losing a lot of my excess weight.
So at the end of November i started making diet/meal plans, cutting out alot of my excess daily calories, changing my diet, slowly and surely. Less carbs, less saturated fat, natural products, little or no sugar unless natural in fruit etc.
So since Dec 1st i've lost 24lbs.
However, over last 7days +, i've noted gains in weight with no deviation to my eating plans and exercise plans. I've added 2lbs - 4lbs on in weight. I have hit this wall before and become demoralized and just gone backwards but with this i want to break through it and keep going and i'm positive i can do it.
But i just dont understand why i have started putting on weight with no significant weight training/exercise that would cause major muscle growth. I'm still at the stage of shredding unwanted weight so cannot understand why thats happening.
Anyone have any advice and similar experience. I read to decrease further or even increase so i just don't what is best. I don't ideally want to start increasing cardio routine as i want to continue with the diet first to improve general fitness before leaning out and growing muscle.
