I've been making this a lot lately, as a mega-low calorie ice cream substitute. I say substitute because the texture is different then ice cream, but it has all the vanilla ice cream sweetness)
Ingredients
1/2 cup Non-fat Vanilla Yogurt-1 cup = 190 calories (I buy Stonyfield Farms, )
1 cup Non-fat Milk-90 cals per cup (You could add some cream or half and half
for a better texture but far more calories)
2-3cups crushed ice (I tend to use about 3)
3 cups water (watering it down doesn't diminish taste significantly, increases
volume alot)
12-15 packets of Sweet n' Low
Steps
Blend all above ingredients well so there's no chunks of ice left
Pour into a large container (This recipe makes quite a large amount)
Freeze for 3-ish hours (I take it out and stir in between)
Let it thaw a bit/microwave a bit
I buy ice cream cups (15cals each) and eat in those although its great with just a spoon. The great thing about this dessert is how much bang you get for so little calories when you need something sweet. Please leave feedback if you try it.
