Hi,
I feel this is an important issue and for lots of reasons like preventing back injuries. We see a lot of praise about squating or standing military BB presses but both could mean trouble in case you have an anterior pelvic tilt and not being careful.
I don't know a lot about this, I just realized I have this postural deviation. It makes me adopt an odd body alignment in the military presses and in the standing squat position. I notice this a lot more when unracking the bar, the weight is massively transfered to my lower back and even the belt won't help much.
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time to read and study this things, so I just started this thread so people who know more about this could sum up their knowledge, feelings and takes on this problem.
I ran across this article on the internet, I think it's a good one. But if it's not, I wouldn't know, so here goes the link:
I also found this one:
In my case, the front planks do feel very right. Both articles recommend a lot of exercises, I just don't know which ones are the best, if you should do them all or how to choose. I also don't know whats the time frame for expecting a full postural correction.
So I hope you guys can post your takes on this. Thanks!
