Pole dancing mommy!!

How long have you been doing this? It's amazing the strength you have! How do you build up to that? Self taught? Classes?
It's really amazing!

Thank you! For almost a year. I have had my pole longer about 18 months, but I had an injury (not pole related) and my pregnancy took me off the pole for 8 months or so. I'm self taught. I learned from watching others on YouTube. I was very much into training with free weights before I started pole dancing, so that was helpful. I also have a background in personal training, I've been ACE certified for 8 yrs now, so I have a good understanding of body mechanics and what is safe and not safe. I always recommend some strength training before you start but you can actually use your pole to build that strength up!! The shoulders and upper back tend to be the most frequently injured in pole. Pole is a all in one exercise. Cardio, strength, and flexibility oh and balance too. I only use pole dance to stay in shape now, I have this big beautiful home gym but I never use it. LOL

Your upper body strength must be nothing short of spectacular. Holy cow! Congrats on all you've accomplished for yourself.

What does it cost to have a pole installed in a house? And are there structural concerns? I mean - that thing takes a heck of a lot of stress - I would think a professional builder would need to be involved somehow - yes?

No professional needed!! I put the pole up and take it down myself. The poles I use are X pole....the best home pole on the market!! It is fully removable and portable no drilling either. You could not perform the moves I do on something like a peekaboo pole, that's a piece of crap! A quality pole is around 300 dollars if a pole is under 250dollars its not meant for anything more than walking around the thing and looking cute. LOL The X pole is amazing and better and less expensive than a gym membership.

More X pole info....

This is an important read for anyone interested in a pole dance...

I thought I should include these two other poles a lot of people like. They are also sturdy poles. I just prefer the X. I know some people have had trouble with the lil mynx. I have never tried one though. My first pole was a Platinum Stages and it was ok but very slippery.

Thanks for the info, StudioVeena, I never would have thought anything that wasn't permanently installed by a carpenter or something would be safe to wrangle like that. I've learned something new from you!
