ok seriously seriously seriously seriously seriously seriously u need to stop eating like that. if theres 1 thing iv learnt from searching these forums is that u need to eat 5-6 meals a day. small meals, healthy meals. im not an expert but i think by eating like u r it does somethin to ur metabolism that im not sure of. i think its almost certainly bad. and water! water water water! u need to drink water! its good for u, im not sure in wat way but i think it helps with fat loss. so i recomend u search over the net or on these forums for nutritional advice! i mean its such a big subject taht i cant just explain everything especially since im no expert myself. but search in google! type something like fat loss nutrition or something like that.

the other key thing is cardio work. it is important. i go to the gym every other day and run on the treadmill and perform HIIT! u need to b running to lose that body fat. the only way to get taht fat off is to burn it off by running, or biking or doing any kind of cardiovascular work. i prefer running personally. start running slowly. take it easy at first. gradually over time ul c that fat burning away as long as u eat right as well.

remember there is no such thing as a magical process where ul b the thinnest person the very next day. dont believe in any magical equipment or n et hing like that. just eat right and run. this is gona take time but keep on at it. keep urself motivated, even if u cant see teh change urself, some1 else might! good luck

Very Unhealthy!

Usaid,
If that's really all you're eating you're going to make yourself very weak and unhealthy. By eating that you your body will store fat which is exactly what you don't want!

Please start eating better...just like n soufiani said, you need to eat 5-6 small meals a day, drink water, and exercise.

Yes, you're overweight but you can lose it safely and KEEP IT OFF. You won't be able to survive very long with what you're doing now and you'll either become anorexic or you'll end up bingeing when your body has cravings.

Please eat and workout. If you need a routine, let me know.

~teresa

Usaid, you really have to stop doing that! Even I didn't eat that little in my Anorexic period. Now that's gotta count for something, right? Sure, you'll lose weight that way BUT:
1. You'll feel like crap (tired all the time, no concentration, no more period, cold all the time)
2. You'll look like crap (bags under your eyes, pale look, hair will look dull, etc)
3. You'll lose more muscle than fat (which means in the long run that your metabolism will become VERY slow)
4. What you're doing is DOWNRIGHT DANGEROUS! I know a guy who was very overweight and suddenly stopped eating alltogether. He just drank water and lost about 50 pounds. And then ended up in the hospital because his body couldn't take it anymore.

You can lose weight quickly and healthily by eating right and exersising right. Trainer Lynn has made a post that has been useful to most of us:

1) Eat 5-6 small meals throughout the day. Each meal should be 2-3 hours apart. Each meal should contain one protein and one carb. The first meal should be eaten within an hour after waking.

2) Drink lots of water

3) Rest properly. This means taking at least 24-48 hours between strength training the same muscles, and it also means getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep per night. Lastly, it means taking 1-2 days off from exercising per week.

4) Cardio. This should be done at different intensity levels and different session lengths. Consider doing a low intensity/long session, a high intensity/short session and a few medium intensity/medium length sessions.

5) Strength Training. Strength train each muscle 1-3 times per week. You should lift a proper weight and perform the proper amount of sets/reps for your strength training method.

All of the above things combined will result in fat loss.

aaaarrrrgggghhhhh!

you HAVE to listen to what has been said

the noodles and fruit will not make you lose any fat. when you under eat you actually store fat and you scare your body into preparing for such little food. everything you eat will be stored and you will not burn off anything.

Dont replace foods with fruit, fruit has to be additional to meals and is excellent snacks but nowhere near enough to keep you sustained. you need to eat carbs, protein and fats to burn body fat. only with this balance will you achieve a healthy (and healthy looking body). unfortunately the media have labelled fat as bad. this is bull. saturated fats are bad, poly and mono unsaturated are ESSENTIAL to the human body. mackeral has over 20g of 'fats' but less than 2g is saturated, the oils and healthy fats that make up the rest should be considered good. nuts such as brazils or almonds etc are also high in 'fats' but low in bad 'fats'. every single person that trains or eats healthy and is successful in doing so knows the differences within fats and uses them to their advantage.

you have to stop believing that the less you eat, the more you lose. you will have noticed some weight loss but this will be muscle loss - you need to keep the muscle to (a) stay healthy and (b) keep fat down. you can eat more and still lose weight providing you are eating well.

you are DRASTICALLY undereating. to say you cant break your current routine is nonsense; you have to. it really sounds like a disorder and then you would need professional help soon. for now you have to forget the gym and concentrate on getting to some level of normality. eat proper meals and dont be scared of putting on weight - it sounds like you need to do this both for your looks and (more importantly) your health. you will make yourself seriously ill, no doubt.

if your problem is purely for the way you look you have the completely the wrong atittude. thin/skinny is not healthy and not attractive. you may say you have energy and feel ok but if you were to adopt a better programme you would feel 100 times better, plus a bit more confident and sounder of mind! i understand that, in your own head, you believe you have lose weight - but ask anyone else and they will tell you different. trust all these replies above; you will have to force yourself to do what you dont believe is the thing to do but in the long term you will benefit.

go and see a doctor and explain your lifestyle; they will have people who can help and you have to trust in what they say - the experts are not wrong.

i dont understand this 'must be skinny' attitude to life - 95% people grumble about how Paris Hilton, the Friends girls etc etc etc are 'too thin' yet we all still buy into the lifestyle that the magazines, tv and products sell us. its not only annoying but dangerous.

please dont reply with another 'but i feel ok....' the excuses will only be part of the problem that we have ALL highlighted.

Almost all foods contain some carbs...your major sources of carbs are whole grains, fruits, and vegetables though. You can eat fruit in ADDITION to regular meals. You can eat normally and still lose weight. Just don't overeat and eat WHOLE foods instead of processed foods. Follow Trainer Lynn's five tips that Maverick posted for you.

Yes, walking is a great way to get exercise and maybe you can eventually increase it to jogging. Can't you buy some exercise bands or something to do weight training at your home? You can even do it at your desk if you sit while working.

Without sounding too harsh though...you have to MAKE time to exercise and get healthy. Some of the busiest people I know make time to go to the gym for an hour a day. It has to be a priority in your life.

thanks for your kind reply...... yeah i will eat small meals from now..... n i will try to do exercise at home.... that will help me to reduce my body fats......

There are lots of exersises you can do at home. i don't have acces to the gym everyday either.

But don't take the "I don't have any time" as an excuse. There are ppl around here who have kids + jobs and all the household stuff to do that still manage to exersise. Also, unfortunately you can't spot reduce. You'll have to lose fat all over to lose the flab around your tummy.

Here are a few tips to make some tiny daily adjustments that can make a difference. I don't know if you work or still at school, but either way, this applies:

1. park your car further away from your work/school so you'll have to take a walk before you reach it. If you're going by bus, get out earlier.
2. take the stairs more often. Wether your at school/work or out shopping.
3. Avoid sitting down a lot: example: when you are on the phone, instead of sitting on the couch (or whatever) pace around. Or be the nice girl: hand your mom the cup of coffee, or newspaper. get your own drink instead of letting someone bring it to you. Offer to cook meals yourself. All of this can reduce the amount of time you're sitting down a lot.
4. instead of walking, jog a bit. You can build up the pace through time.
5. Go for it at sports. If your at school, you probably have sports in your weekly scedule. Instead of participating mockingly, try your best. Look at it as your hour in the gym, instead of that pesky schoolsubject.

here are some more tips on diet en exersize:

1. prepare your meals in advance. This prevents you from falling back into old habits. And eat them too! 5 or six meals sound difficult, but you could also do it like this: snack on protein shakes and bars between your regular meals. Added up, you'll be at 6 meals without much effort! (watch the portion size of your 3 main meals though.)
2. get yourself a set of dumbells. Their cheap and you can do pretty much every exersize needed to tone up that body. On the internet are tons of exersises with pictures and videos. Or ask around here.

Just look at it like this: if we can do it, you can do it. Just get it moving and when you're on the right track you'll see it's not hard to keep going. It's the beginning tthat's tough. Beat that and you'll have the body you want in no time. Just make sure you educate yourself properly. So ditch the noodle soup and eat healthily ;) And have a cheat day once a while. Life has to stay fun, right?

I take the Nike slogan as a motto: "Just do it!"

Hope this helps.

well that helped a lot.... i mean very nice tips..... thx indeed....
i will be concentrating on mixing jog, sprint n walk together from now.... :)

Yep, it's very true that you can't spot reduce but you can still build muscle which will increase your metabolism. You can also do crunches and pushups at home or buy an exercise video that will give you a good routine. Like I said, I would buy some exercise bands to do some strength training and keep walking/jogging!

you've gotten some great advice here, so do take heed of your nutritional needs so you don't ruin your health forever.

Exercise-wise, walking is great. I, personally, don't run, so I don't believe you have to be a runner to lose weight. If I didn't go to the gym, I'd add in bike rides. In our library system we have a lot of exercise books and videos. This is how I started Pilates at home. Get a video to start, as they show proper technique. If at some point you can swing it, take a class. Nothing beats being in the room with the instructor.

Good luck - please take care of yourself

And please get some protein, Do you like eggs?. I make scramble eggs using 2 egg whites for every 1 whole egg.
yogurt has protein,
---
YOu would be better off with 4 or 5 cans of slim-fast than what you was eating.

Let us know how it goes! We are concern.

I don't want to repeat what already has been said, but you do need to eat better. Causing your body to go into "starvation mode" will make you very sick and eating will actually make you feel sick to your stomach.

What you need to do is eat healthy. You need to cut out the fatty foods (potato chips, sweets like cookies and cakes, etc.) and you need to add more fruits and veggies to your diet. I wouldn't do fruit as a meal replacement, but I would use it as a mid-morning or mid-afternoon snack. You could also add fruit to a meal, like at breakfast have cereal and a banana. These are just suggestions.

Just because you want to lose weight, doesn't mean you can't eat, you just need to make the right choices.

I started dieting 3 years ago and I'm still not at my goal weight, although I am now in my healthy weight range. It's not a race, the most important things to remmeber are that you need 1) a postiive attitude 2) realize that this isn't going to happen overnight, and 3) your going to look and feel better about yourself.

Drink lots of water, water will become your best friend. It helps your body to flush out toxins better, makes your skin look healthy, and a ton of other benefits.

You keep saying you cant' go to the gym, guess what, I've NEVER been to a gym until recently and I decided not to join. There are tons of great excercise videos out there. I have several for variety. I bought some 3, 5, and 10 pound dumbells, a step, and a balance ball. I have walking DVDs, kickboxing, step, yoga, pilates, and the firm. I have toning as well as cardio. Really that's all you need, you need to get your heart rate up in order to burn the fat. If your just starting out, I would strongly recommend Lisa Sansone's walk away the pounds, you can get a 1,2,3,or 4 mile tape and they're great. I would get the express tapes because you don't need to buy any other props.

Good luck

Having an empty stomach slows your metabolism because your body thinks that there is a food shortage. Just eat sensibly dont just stop eating. As far as people oing gym work when they are overweight it is soooooooo over rated walking or anyform of cardio will benifit you.

And no matter what people call you your still beutiful in the eyes of anyone who isnt an idiot!
