Hey all, my name is Kev. I'm 16, and weigh 160, give or take. Although I've been in the "healthy range", I have had a pretty large fat %. So recently, I've been trying to shave off the fat a little. I'm working out 4 days a week or so of weight training and vigorous, short cardio (EPOC). It seems to be working well so far. In addition to the workouts, I have tried to change my diet around. Instead of the 3-4 meals a day, I am now starting to eat as I go, with as many fruits and veggies as possible. Dinner is mainly where I indulge myself, lots of protein, etc. So to summarize my diet, I am just trying to eat less junk food, more healthy things, and mabye 1-2 bigger meals (a fist and a half or so) and another 2-4 smaller "snacks" (1/2 a fist, give or take depending).
So here is my current issue:
I feel as if I am eating way too little. It seems way to easy. I play a lot of golf and tennis and if I work out as well, I seem to burn almost as much as I eat. So, with my around 500 calorie intake a day (after exercise) I feel like I am massively under eating.
But I'm not hungry.
Mabye a little bit, but the kind of hunger you would feel an hour before you wanted to eat. Not the kind where you want to sit down, and eat 3 hamburgers.
This makes me really nervous. I have never had any issues with any eating disorders, nor do I feel like I do now. But it can't be healthy to take in 1500 calories, burn 1000 (mabye tennis for 1.5 hours, and a workout), and not feel hungry whatsoever.
I read on another forum about someone mentioning ketosis. Would this be a sort of state I am in, or is it more likely that something else is going on?
Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks all
