Pizza Hut P'Zone

Well I've been dieing to have one of these since I saw it on tv. So I had a pepperoni p'zone tonight, and came on the internet and checked the nutrition guide. I was ready to start bawling..... 840 calories for half a p'zone, (1680 total) + cheese breadstick (200) and 1 wing.

I've been doing sooooo good on my diet for the last 2 months, and this had to happen. I just can't believe I took in almost a whole day's intake just for dinner...

Don't let it get you down. Just look at it as a treat meal (i hate the word cheat) and move on. One bad meal won't 10 pounds make. Just don't make it a habit. The further into my lifestyle change I get, the more I realize that I feel sick after those kinds of meals. Maybe that will be the case for you too.

All the best

Damn, that is bad stuff, just half of that has nearly your whole days worth of saturated fat and sodium. The only good thing is the amount of protein. (one should never eat a whole thing, why the hell do they even offer this at this portion size???)

Great post...I was craving for one of those things since they came out, but I never knew it was that bad for you. At least you learn now, and learn from this mistake...weight loss is a journey...there will be many bumps in the road, but don't let it get you down ;)

yeah...its depressing...I'm going to really eat low the next couple days to make up for this meal.

Maybe this will warn those of you looking to try this, maybe split it with someone, or eat half one day, half the following.

Don't worry about one meal....usually when I mess up a meal nothing horrible happens the next day---a couple times the scale actually went down (go figure!)

My hubby and I have taken to looking at the nutritional menus online before we go to restaurant.

Don't let it get you too down. You just have to bounce right back. Today I am proud of myself. I went to work and had a fresh donut and one slice of BBQ chicken pizza at lunch. I wasn't planning on it but, I just adjusted my calories for the rest of the day so that those two little splurges would fit in. They did. Everybody has their day or days... I have to keep reminding myself that too sometimes.

I've been meaning to look up the calories on that thing. It looked like a caloric bomb on the television, but I bet it tastes pretty god. Of course, we even think about mentioning the potential amount of sodium in that thing....

I'm all for splurging once in a while. You're not going to wreck your diet if you have something like this once in a while, the problem occurs when you make things like the p'zone a regular part of your diet. But if you are feeling a little bit guilty, get an extra workout in. In fact, use Wednesday morning to go to a local park and enjoy the scenery. You might just end up walking more than you had planned. :)

Wow!!!

Four or five months ago I would have without a doubt ate at least two of those in one day....at least. In fact, I recall the first time they were out and I DID eat three in one day.....DAYUM!! Never again!!

Now, my idea of a treat or a spurge meal is mashed potatoes with my chicken breasts.... no butter, of course :)

You are allowed to break the rules once in a while. Don't beat yourself up over it. My trainer says that it's okay to treat yourself to something yummy. He said that when you try and change EVERYTHING about your life all at once - esp. the food part - it will ruin you. He said to just try and eat the things you love (but are bad for you) early in the day - but not to do it more than once a week.

If it would make you feel better, I could call Pizza Hut and yell at them for you. I will give them hell and tell them how their stupid pizza made you feel guilty. You just let me know - I'm holding the phone right now.:jump:

Wishes from my heart to yours,

you can call them and yell at them for not offering "half a p'zone" :p.

I am letting it go now, but in all honesty, I felt stuffed, almost sick the following day after eating it. It was a wake up call to start watching my intake again. This was an awful speed bump, and I'm not looking forward to my weekly weight check on wednesday.

I've had a really hard time passing up the P'Zone. I have only had one and that was when they first came out several years ago. The constant commercials are such temptation to my hungry eyes. :(

woah that thing looks scary! i dont get what it is, is it like two pizzas on top of each other? and its so big! thats heart attack central. maybe a yerar ago i would have liked the look of it but now im strictly eating no cheese (the hardest of my addictions to kick,) pizza just looks horrible now.

and whoever said they could eat three, :eek2:

how did you now burst!

As said, I've managed to pass up on it, but my boyfriend is having an even harder time than I am. He seems to get a craving for one at least once a day. While at the store, I picked up this instead:

At 660 calories and 30 grams of fat in the whole thing, it's still not healthy, but that's just a tid over the amount in just half of the Pizza Hut version. So the next time he decides to have a treat day and thinks a P'zone is the only answer, I'll pull it out. :newangel:

scary. what is the white stuff, is it cheese? im so glad i dnt eat cheese anymore. i used to eat sooooo much. i remember one nday i got through a large (four english pounds) block of canadian mature. i would eat it raw, grate it on anything - veg, bread, rice, pasta, quorn... nw i havent had cheese for 6 weeks id never thought id kick the addiction!! its gonna be hard when i get back to th UK though with the chese there being everywhere.

Yeah, it's cheese. I've had quite a cheese habit myself. I used to have it in/on the side of at least one meal a day. There was never a sandwich with out it, and I would just randomly eat it by itself sometimes.

My first step in cutting back on cheese was actually not getting it on a sandwich at Subway, and I didn't miss it at all. I've since learned I don't miss it with most foods. However, haven't totally let it go yet and have the occasional low calorie fat free cheese.

I've been wanting one of these things too, but I won't have one. When I decide to "blow" my diet I'll get a real calzone and get sick from that.

iwas a bit funny with cheese anyways cos i didnt eat rennet cos i was a vegetarian. but it just encouraged me to eat more at home when i found a brand with no rennet that tasted good!! now im vegan and i really miss cheese but in a way i dont miss it at all. after 6 weeks of cold turkey from my first love ive began to realise it was just a pile of artery blocking grease on top of a meal that didnt really add flavour.

1 meal will not hurt you. Eating anything will not hurt you as long as you do it in the right portions.
I have lost 70 pounds over the last months and eat pretty much anything I want to eat. Of course I do eat more fruit and vegtables but I still have my pizza, burgers, steak.
I hate fried foods which is worse than anything for you. I am now taking in 3500 cals a day and am still losing 3-4 pound a week. Only 50 left to go now.

DO NOT BEAT YOURSELF UP OVER ONE BAD DECISION!!!

Sorry, but really, what did you expect? Its a HUGE "calzone" from Pizza Hut. Its basically a whole pizza folded in half. I must admit that they look really good, but I would probably gain 5 pounds if I ate one so, I'll pass.
