Photoshop Yourself Thin

I got one PM with a picture attached. Sorry - but I cant PM back until I've been here 5 days.

I finished it... would you allow me to post the before/after photoshop pictures?

BTW - if anyone else sends a picture please make it a big size and not from a phone (i.e. from a 'real' camera). THat way you can get better results.

Wow, really shows how easy it could be to touch up a person. If you had the chance to do that. only to your real body, would you do it or work off the pounds the old fashion way?

I retouch photos, thin people down, take away bags and wrinkles, enhance colors, etc on the side for a bit of extra cash. Usually wedding, anniversary, or prom photos. People normally don’t ask for a huge difference in appearance, they just want a couple of skin blemishes to be removed. It’s fun to work with the images.

It is sad that 99.9% of images that we see in magazines are FALSE! I mean, I knew that already, but it was just really eye-opening after watching this video:

I photoshop nearly every picture of myself, at least to make the colors stand out, get rid of a dead pixel... ETC..

But I often get rid of my double chin!

IHateCardio--Your 'after' picture looks like that could be her daughter! Nice work!

This guy has done quite a bit for hollywood stars and starlettes. The before shots are really nice to begin with, he just tweaks them a bit (enhancing color, evening out skin tone, outlining curves a bit more, etc) and viola, ready for a magazine.

This was done quite a bit even before the advent of Photoshop. Digital manipulation just made it easier to create the illusion of perfection. Before computers became common in the home, and Photoshop was a household name, it was done with airbrush. That's how all those Playboy models looked so perfect even back then.

I do this type of thing for a living. Probably spend 90% of my work day in Photoshop, been using it since v 1.0. The photo editing I do varies from a simple color correction, to some pretty heavy duty 'plastic surgery', weight reduction, hair changing, etc. Its a lot of concentration and often very time consuming. Needless to say I don't open up Photoshop at home that much.

I honestly wish there was a way for the public to access the 'real' images to see the 'before'. The models aren't that perfect. There's a couple vids out there I hope I can find to post on this thread... they are very... educational.

Funny thing is, I haven't done a weight reduction in PS on myself. Though I wish I could just stick 'me' in there for real and Photoshop the weight off. And about 10 years. :biggrinjester:
