Pecs workout?

Hi all,

Wondering if you could help me out (again :) )...

I work out at home at the moment because I can't afford the gym (or find the time to go), I have dumbells and barbells for working my biceps, I do 100 sit ups 3 times a week for my stomach and press ups for my triceps. This all works well cause I've only got a little appartment but I really want to work on my pecs some cause they are non-existent whilst the rest of my upper body muscle/strength is improving rapidly.

Unfortunately I do not have room for a bench and therefore cannot do benchpresses, is there any other way to build my chest muscles? I have read some other threads on this and I think I might also find it hard to build them because I don't really feel they exist and therefore when doing press ups (for example) use only my triceps...

Cheers in advance

Someone more experienced than me can confirm this...but, i think, if you do press-ups with really wide arms, wider than shoulder width, it will work your pectorials rather than triceps.

McCarley's right, pushups will do it (unless you're super light), in which case you can decrease your mechanical advantage (i.e., increase the amount of work) by raising your legs. Easy to do in a small apartment - put your legs up on you bed, and do pushups on the floor.

push ups with a wide grip, it will focus more on chest than tri's, but ull still be using your tris some... if you wanna hit chest from different angles, put ur feet on things. like put ur feet on the arm of a couch, and do a push up like that..

You can also add weight doing pushups, or as suggested do variations of push ups by changing the location of either your arms or elevation of your legs.
