peach cobbler.

So on my home scale, i'm 193.0, so by wednesday morning i'd like to see at least 189.8!!

How do I lose weight on vacation??? hmmm....

Diet today was SO not good....I hate all these temptations i have at home, it is definitely harder to control at home...well, maybe it is equally hard. At home, I want to eat so I can be with my family, or when I'm in college, I can buy my own food, so I eat everything I purchase...sigh*...I need to figure out something.

I had an avocado bacon cheeseburger with fries, and some korean bbq.

Delicious, yes, but so not worth it, also being home, I don't drink enough water.

Yesterday, I went to the gym at 8pm, but tonight I'm going to go around 11pm, I hope that the lifting machines will be free tonight...I definitely wouldn't mind going to San Diego sore. I also want to try the hack squat tonight.I just need to get these long-lost muscles working.

I'm like at a dress 16 for the longest time ever, I hate all my backfat, but I guess it doesn't help that I'm doing all this lifting that is growing the muscles underneath the fat. blah.

I'd like to get into a size 12 dress for my graduation!! size 10 or 12!!! That's alot of work though, I think that's like at around 150-160lbs...I must stay motivated at all costs.

I'm going to drink about 3-4 cups of water in 45 minutes...i hope i can do it!

I did a fabulous workout last night, but unfortunately, I weighed in at 195.5lbs this morning, WTF!

I just hope to walk a LOT while in San Diego, who ever loses weight on vacation?...I'll let you guys know on Sunday, you silent readers!!

Hey Berry---

I defintely know that being at home is super hard. Ive been at college for 3 years or so and so i pretty much by my own food pepare my own meals and decide what I want to eat, but when I go home im face with a hugely stocked kitchen and fridge and all hell breaks loose. But with all that said I do think there is a time and a place to enjoy yourself a little bit even if it is dinner out with friends or family. Just keep the big picture in mind, and good luck with your vacation :)

Hello everyone,

Just a quick update. I didn't let all hell break loose, but I did eat. I also drank alot of beers and had one hell of a night at the GasLamp District.

I'll weigh myself in tomorrow, I just hope that I won't be over 200, that's all. Let's get it going baby!

So I gained approximately 3.8lbs on the vacation. I'm not disappointed at all, and realisitically doubt that I could've lost 3.8 lbs on vacation. I'm more than positive these pounds (+ some more) are just water weight and I need to keep chugging.

I lost roughly 10 lbs in 6 days before. I expect similar results this week!

I woke up this morning at 196.0lbs, and then after my shower today, I weighed 196.0lbs. Yay! But after I showered, I ate half of a cantaloupe! =( and got really gassy...

The melon was darn sweet though! 2mrw, i'm going to do tons of biking, so we'll see how things go!

Today, I am supposed to go eat at a All-you-can-grill BBQ...basically, you fill yourself with a bunch of MEAT! It's really delicious, and the last time I went, I stuffed myself to the max and came home and fell asleep....-_-"

This time, we're going around 5pm....I reallly hope not to eat as much as I did before, and if I do, i'll try chewing on the chicken! (i do recollect that the beef was fantastic)

I am extremely surprised that I lost weight even after eating 2 cups of sweet fresh cantaloupe...Extremely surprised!

I DO feel slightly bloated because I have decreased my water intake suddenly..so I'm going to up it again. If I'm not too bloated tonight, I will go to the gym.

I MUST GO TO THE GYM. CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTH > SIZE 4!!

...i just sprained my ankle...

Freaking sprained my ankle! But it's not major, because I can limp on it, and even limp-walk with a brace on it! I missed all my TR classes (eugh, three!) so tomorrow I have to go to class, I also have a bunch of errands to run tomorrow. I just am super disappointed that I can't hit up the gym anytime soon (2 weeks tops)

I fixed my credit card problem, my transcript problem, and lastly haven't fixed my SJSU problem..sigh* fukc. My online course stuff has been frozen since I didn't pay tuition (i actually forgot to...)

shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

I ate roughly 4 cooked cups of flank steak, beef brisket, chicken thigh, and pork belly. Just meat and 3 cups of wasabi salad which was basically shredded cabbage in a light wasabi-enhanced sauce.

Today is going to be a veggie and fruit day, with all the animal protein I consumed yesterday, I'm sure my GI tract is having one hell of a time.

I'll drink soy protein powder for some protein, probably as dinner. I'd like to see 192 tomorrow! I'll have a salad for lunch today too!

Yep, stuck to my word. It is a hell of a hot day today, super hot, although breezy so I am keeping fluids.

I went number 2 today, and I think everything is out. Gosh, all that meat....it must not be healthy!

I'm so tired of relapsing.

The title says it. I am SO tired of relapsing.

Diet before spring break, nearly on point.
Spring break, disaster (gain of 3-4 pounds)
Week post-spring break, 75% on point (lost those 3-4 pounds)
Weekend after, GAINED

I'm just so mad at myself that I can't seem to continually be on track for more than 5 days. I mean, I did sprain my ankle last week, and now it feels near new, but still, I should've lost weight last week and got to under 190s by now.

I did really well at the southern style restaurant, I think, I ate a little bit of everything and the next morning, I went for some water aerobics lol.

But at the pizza parlor, I shouldn't have started the second slice and the ice cream scoop. Sigh Sigh Sigh* I'm in this sensitive stage of my weight loss, where little mishaps are detrimental to what my goals are.

My citizens jeans are still tight, and so are my shirts. I'm just so aggravated about this whole situation.

THIS WEEK, I'm going to try eating 1200-1500 calories plus going to the gym. We'll see how big of a dent that makes, the exercise has to help. Also, I have a shitload of oats, so I have to start killing those.

I assumed that because this is the first few weeks, the first month, I could drop like 20-30 pounds easily. Okay, maybe 25 pounds to be super realistic. That would be like 180 by the end of April. And i'm still here bouncing at 196! :willy_nilly::willy_nilly::willy_nilly::willy_nilly:

Sigh* I have my work cut out for me.

To keep myself on point, my goal isn't this Friday, it'll be exactly a week from today, April 13, for a goal of under 190. I don't have any dinners/outings planned this week to cause havoc so LET'S DO IT!

DietLog 4.6.2009
11am- 1 cup of whole wheat spaghetti, 5 ounces of ground turkey, 1/2 cup of tomato sauce, 1 tbsp tabasco
6pm- 1 cup of whole wheat spaghetti, 4 ounces of ground turkey, 2 ounces of pork belly, 1/2 cup of tomato sauce, 1 whole avocado, 3 ounces of deli turkey meat, 2 slices of american cheese, 15-18 ritz crackers, 1/2 cup of orange juice
800pm- 4 jalapeno poppers, 1 jr deluxe burger w/o mayo
845pm- 4 oz berry tart

Water Intake: 8 cups

Exercise Log 4.6.2009

10 miles on bike
(bike to campus, campus to vet school, vet school to work, work to campus, campus to campus-gym, gym to home)
15 minutes of arc trainer

I need to stop wandering around wasting time. I must remain focused on my schoolwork, and stop idle activities.

It is suppose to rain tomorrow, so I'm crossing my fingers that it won't rain while I bike.

I'm having a hard time balancing between starving myself (< 1000 calories) and "binge eating" (~2000 calories)

I don't know what a healthy 1500 calories/day looks like or feels like. I try to stay in tune with my stomach feelings of fullness.

I'm going to start tomorrow with some oatmeal and some fruit. We'll see if that helps, I've noticed that I skimp on breakfast foods and go into lunch, when I actually start my day at 8am, not 12pm.

Let's see how that works. I'll try to squeeze in a gym session tomorrow, depends on how convenient it will be.

9-1030: neurobio development
1030-1130: neurobio drug OH
1130-12: transcript
12-130: econ history
130-3: public finance
3-5: gym
5-6: hema quiz
6-8: ecn 115b discussion while being in hema class
8-12: study (review ecn 131, 168, and write summary sheets for strep and staphy)

ain't no stopping folks!

What do I have planned for food? I ran out of my big pot of spaghetti, so I'll try making a sandwich 2mrw.

I'm broke as a joke, I think i have like 2 bucks in my account. LESSON: TURN IN TIMESHEETS WHEN THEY ARE DUE!!

DietLog 4.7.2009
11am- 1 slice of cheese pizza (5 inches at top, 7 inches down to tip), 1.5 cups of caesar salad
330pm- 2 cups of tortilla chips, 1 cup of nacho cheese, 1 cup of black beans, various lettuce, tomatoes, jalapenos, hot salsa
415pm- 1 reduced fat cinnamon coffee cake, 1 16-oz nonfat vanilla latte

I was very proud today that I only ate one slice of pizza, I usually get two because I'm so convinced that 1 slice isn't enough, but it definitely kept my energy level up. I just ate at 330pm because I thought I should eat before hitting the gym, but I got too full to hit up the gym, so I came to starbucks so I can study. Things are going well! =)

The nachos were huge, but I got the no-meatt to save calories and saturated fat. I got the cinnamon coffee cake with the same feelings I had yesterday when I went to the cafe; I just had to buy something.....

I'll figure out the calories later, but i'm confident I stayed under 1500 calories assuming the nonfat vanilla latte is 100 calories?

WTF A NONFAT VANILLA LATTE IS 230 CALORIES?!

Instead of having some intricate plan anymore, I just plan to cut calories for the next 2-3 months. Exercise will be promoting (in the form of biking being my main transportation), but other than that, I have no choice but to fix my diet habits.

Calorie cutting must be effective, and instead of doing the usual 5 day cutting, i'm going to try 10 days...then 20...then 30... I really have no choice. I got on the scale at 199 this morning. I read in my Fitness magazine that cutting calories may be better than exercising for weight loss. It makes sense if "all calories, no matter what their macronutrient profil is, will burn" Let it be protein, Let it be fat, let it be carbo. I just want it to go.

Either no dinner, or if i'm dying with hunger, oatmeal or protein shake. two options. easiest weight loss plan ever.

I'm jealous by people who drop .8 pounds average/day (i.e., txschick) 10 day challenge! 1500 calories and less. I'm going to do calorie counting i guess...

Don't be discouraged, you can do this. I've tried so many different diets, and the only one that's working for me so far is weight watchers. Let me know if you want any info on it. What I love is that you can earn more points if you work out. So, if I really want to have that cinnamon bun, I'll have to work my own buns out in the morning to earn those extra points. It makes you really re-think your food choices. It's like, do I want one slice of pizza (which doesn't usually fill me up either!) or a big chicken breast burger with a big side salad. Plus, they have "extra" points in case you slip up a bit.

Like I said, I've tried it all...the dutch diet, atkins, calorie counting, just starving myself...none of which I have done for more than 3 or 4 days each. I'm on my third week, and still feel motivated that I can do it.

I find that making myself go to the gym is sometimes the hardest part...so I keep my gym clothes right by my door and change into them as soon as I get home from work. That way, I'll either go, or feel bad that I've sat around in my gym clothes...and I hate that feeling of letting myself down if I dont go, so that trick usually works.
