Overwhelmed.

Hi. I'm Magz and I feel overwhelmed with this website and losing weight in general. First off, let me say-- this site has a lot of great resources! However, I don't know where to begin or what type of program is best for me. I'm going to list my current situation and my goals, and hopefully someone can outline the best course of action.

Age: 18
Gender: Male
Height: 6'2''
Weight: 201.5 (but I don't really care about pounds or the number)
Body physique: Slightly overweight, not skinny or in shape. I have a decent amount of muscle, but its all layered with fat. I see stretch marks on different portions of my body. When I sit down, rolls appear...

Extra: My face is round. My neck kinda fatty so that I have a double chin at certain angles. I have particularly large thighs.

Exercise habits: I workout randomly, with no schedule. This summer frees up time, and I want to develop an awesome routine. When I workout, I am always concerned I am not doing the right thing, and therefore I think it is a waste of time. I have three machines in my house: a stationary bike, an elliptical, and weight machine (TuffStuff- AXT2). When I use the machines, I never feel like I am working as hard. I am more out of breathe running for 8 minutes than I am with using the elliptical or bike for 30 minutes. As for the weight machine, I don't know how much weight to use for how many reps or sets. I feel clueless in the sense I don't know what is the best exercise to lose weight and gain muscle. I heard that interval training is the best, but I can't find a routine/afraid that I am not going to be able to finish a full workout because its going to be too intense.

Eating habits: Eating is probably my weakest point. I don't like many vegetables or fruits, and seldom eat any. I usually don't eat a breakfast, and eat unhealthy lunches and dinners. My family and I go out alot-- no one in my family is good at any cooking. The food we have in our house is crap because the majority of my family is unhealthy. Other members of my family love sweets and deserts, so we have a lot of chocolate, ice cream, etc. in my house. I also eat deathly snacks, such as Cheez-Itz, Snackwells, and Ritz-Bitz. A lot of the time, my mom will pick me up a donut or large cookie from a store; it's hard to refuse an healthy treat when someone picks up/makes something for you. I don't count calories, though I am concious that the majority of what I eat is bad for me. I just don't like/have good foods! :(

Goals: I don't care about any "pound" number. I want to look and feel good! I leave for college in mid-August. I want to see drastic improvements by then (a little less then two months). First, I'd like to see a loss of fat from my body and my face. I don't want to look at rolls anymore; I don't want to take a picture and fear that I'm going to have a double chin. I am not looking for a one time thing-- as I move onto college, I am looking for a lifestyle change, so that I can continue to be healthy and fit for the rest of my life. I am wanting to change my eating habits, as well as my fitness habits. I feel like I want and need both to improve my body and my life.

Sorry for the novel, but I feel helpless. I don't know where to start because my lifestyle needs changing. Weight loss is always on my mind and I am looking to this forum to achieve my goals and stay motivated!

Extra note: I saw that challenges section; I feel like a competition to lose weight is exactly the type of thing that will push me to work hard!
