Over-excercising?

Hi All,

I need help with my gym obsession and "possible" over-exercising. I am wondering IF I am truly over-exercising.

My schedule: I train with a personal trainer twice a week for an hour. At least 6 days a week, I also do a combination of a lifting class (with weights) or a cardio class or both. I also run on the treadmill 3-4 times a week for 3-4 miles. Sometimes I am at the gym for 2, 3, and even 4 hours (at times). As a 55 year old female, I am in excellent shape with a low body fat and weight, but I am wondering if all of this is too much for me? I also try to limit my calories to 1100-1200 per day with very little carbs, but perhaps this is not enough? I do try to take 1 day off a week, but it is very hard. My family thinks that I am doing my body more harm than good, but I want to hear from others that are into fitness to see what others have to say.

So, my question is...do you think I am overdoing it and if so, how do people stop? I truly LOVE being at the gym and working out. Thanks to all who answer.
