one hour workout

i am constantly amazed when i read articles about people who say you should be in and out of the gym in 1 hour or less. i would really like to know how this is possible especially when you're training multiple body parts. if you're training with heavy weight ( 80%-1RM) and performing really low reps you need volume to induce a hypertrophic effect. i would like to know how you can be effective if you're only in the gym for 1 hour. i follow chad waterbury's principles so the 1 hour theory seems rather hard to comprehend.

on this forum is seems over exagerate, about the 1 hour principle. It is a good thing to base around, but it all depends on your workout, goals, training partner etc....multiple factors. I would say around an hour but try for no longer than 1:30

I also like to keep my workouts under an hour. I do 3-4 exercises = one set with 90 seconds rest between sets, and then after I am done with the 3 exercises (2-3 sets), I move onto the next TRIAD 3-4 exercises, and so on. 90 seconds rest between sets and 90 seconds rest between TRIADS. example - Deadlift, Overhand Pull Up, Lying ER together (one right after the other). I dont really do 90 seconds rest between the sets because the 3rd or 4th exercise I pick is not a hard working one. I do it purposly. Saves time.

I have done hour and a half-2 hour workouts before and I did not like it. I feel that doing it this way with one movement, then another movement, etc...is faster and I will be able to get more exercises in under one hour.
