It's been a week now since I started this weight loss journey, and today is the first today I stepped on the scales and hadn't lost a thing. It's been a steady 1 pound less on the scales each day - I started at 178 and as of yesterday I was 172. Still 172 today.
I know I can't expect to continue losing 1lb a day but I feel somewhat demotivated today and fed up because for the past 8 days now I've been doing a minimum of 1 hr Zumba (cardio) a day and tracking all my calories on Livestrong.com.
My question is this - is there something more I can be doing to boost the weight loss? Should I have a 'cheat' day and eat more food so my body doesn't get used to this new routine? I'm completely lost and scared of exceeding my calories because I've gone from 12 st 11 to 12 st 4 and I don't want to regain it.
This is my calories consumed/burnt for last week. My BMR started at 1622.
