Okay, I am totally blown away with Tae Bo. I have been doing it for a darned week and I still can't go any further  . I realize that I am totally out of shape but I thought that after doing it for a week that I would be able to get a little further in it by now but NOOOOO... I am stuck at the same point in the workout. And I feel soooooo uncoordinated! I think maybe I got one that was a little more advanced that what I need but I can't find any beginner tapes. Any suggestions?

There is a Billy Blanks Tae Bo set that offers beginner work outs as well as advanced and other selections. I tried the beginner tape 3x (and gave up after because I wasn't serious about losing weight) in one week, was still tired and uncoordinated. It might help to get the beginner tape because it goes slower and helps you. You get the hang of it after a while. Keep going! You're doing great! Don't let it beat you - you've got this thing :-D

I bought my Tae Bo tapes off of Ebay. If you get the original set, it has an instructional tape, basic, 8 minute, and advanced. It's discontinued so you aren't very likely to find these in the stores. You can find it online though. I see a lot of sites have it for about 40-50. If you don't mind Ebay though I would definitely get it there...much cheaper and it works just the same!

I definitely recommend trying these...they should help you out. :)

I borrowed all 3 tae bo's from a friend and still have them 6 years later. lol
I started with the Instructional (day one).. and have been doing the Basic workout ever since. I also have the 8 Minute Workout but have not tried that yet. I like doing the 30 min Basic for now. Then I do Winsor Pilates 20 minute workout and soon will be adding in the Windsor Pilates Power Sculpting Abs with resistance...
All I can say is KEEP TRYING. Billy Blanks even tells you, if you run out of breath just walk in place until you can get back into the grove again.
I think the Instructional video REALLY HELPED cause you learn how to do each move correctly and what its called, so you know whats comming next in the Basic workout.

I also have Richard Simmons Disco Sweat... now that I can NOT do! LOL
But I will try it again from time to time.... I'm thinking sometime this week I will set a date for Rhichard and I one more time... everyone deserves a second chance. LOL

For christmas I am wishing for Billy Blanks Boot Camp! Comes with dog tags and all! (fingers crossed)

I found some on ebay. I got four of them for $20 (that included shipping). I got the ones that you are talking about.... instructional, basic, 8 min and advanced. They are shipping out tomorrow and I cannot wait until they get here. Until then I will flop around like a fish out of water with the one that I currently have.

Thanks for all the info. It helped me get what I needed. Watch out Billy.... here I come!!!

I love shopping haha :) Or spending money :) Congratulations! You'll like the instructional - it helps a lot more than jumping into the tape you're doing right now. Keep going, girl!

haha romanovictoia- i love shopping too!!!! love love love it!!!

Well ... here goes nothing! i'm about to pop in Billy Blanks tae bo!!! I don't think i'm gonna make it through...but knowing someone else has a difficult time with it makes me feel a little better!
It is such a good work out though! I know ill be feeling it tomorow!
