Have you looked at the before and after section? Before & After ... and In-Between - Weight Loss Forum

Quickest thing I can tell you is take it easy and don't get frustrated because you're 184...I'd get frustrated about my weight to the point of freaking out and not doing anything because I thought it was useless and then I'd gain 20 lbs more...so I learned to calm myself down by always thinking 'It could be worse", so right now you're 184 but it could be worse, you could be 200, but you're not and you can avoid further weight gain by taking control of the situation...the best weight loss is slow weight loss, say 2 lbs/wk, start walking an hour a day, you'll feel great immediately! You can also use that hour to meditate...I love walking with my iPOD, I just listen to music and try to solve the day's issues in my head...

Don't overwhelm your body by making too many changes too fast..for example, first do only the walking, then eventually when you're comfortable with that start tweaking your diet, making it healthier, then you can add strength training...at the beginning it will be easier to lose weight, and as it goes down you step up your plan of attack :)

i didnt realize i put this in the wrong forum lol :p

and thank you :] i thought about it. because i put my life on hold until i achieve my goals and i go crazy too lol so thank you ^_^

Anything is possible. You just have to believe that. Whilst you are carrying a reasonable amount of spare weight - it is small compared to what I used to carry.

I normally keep my photos quite hidden - but I last shared photos with my friends here

I am sure that you would find my young friend Rae's diary inspirational. She uses the name Invariant on the forum. Start at the beginning. I think that she was about your age when she began losing weight.

Good luck. Your prospects are brighter than they feel.

It is page 124 of my diary if you want to look. I see that you have looked in on Rae. I thought that she may demonstrate to you that you can do this if you work very hard.

The key thing is to eat healthily and adopt some form of exercise. Walking is a brilliant form of exercise - and it is free.

If I were you I would read around the forum. There are lots of sticky threads that are particularly informative. You may want to discuss what you would like to do with your parents and possibly your doctor.

Generally - the best form of exercise is something that you enjoy and can therefore do regularly.
