Hi
I,m new to this forum stuff. Fighting the dreaded belly I,m an old campaigner.
I, m 6' , 15 stone but muscle weighs more , right?
Any way I,m hoping to pick up tips here for a possible book , more on the psychology of weight loss than diet recipes. Why do we worry so much about it ? Who do we do it for ..honestly ? is it for ourselves or the cute guy in accounts?
Speak to you soon.

I know, personally, I walk this path for my own reasons. The positives associated with the outside world are side "pots" of motivation. But I'm primarily driven by the fact that I am in control of my destiny. I love knowing that the time I put into the gym and diet plays out not only in looking good, but feeling and living good as well.

I don't set goals for anyone but myself. I know when I'm over eating and using food for other reasons besides fuel for my body.
I think everyone knows this on some level.
Often times people confuse wishing for weight loss with actually putting down the fork.

Really, it's all about discipline for me. I'm a straight A student and I make good life decisions (without the help of any parent or anything, I have to be self-reliant because my parents both have severe mental illnesses). My weight problem has always been my one foe. It's not like I don't know how to eat right and exercise; I do, so I'm going to. I want to have control over my own body.
I don't care about being thin. In fact, I hate the media's portrayal of women and how many women on this site look to these diet-pill popping, liposuctioning, anorexic, celebrity bone queens for "inspiration." 167lbs is my goal. That is a healthy BMI for me. I've been that weight before (a long time ago...) and I know that I still have rolls at that weight, that's just the way my body is. I DO NOT want to fulfill the stupid, unrealistic images portrayed by the media. I would be disgusted with myself.
Are you really writing a book on the psychology of weight loss? I'm not generalizable :).

Sincerely,
The Forever Rubenesque College Student majoring in Psychology:D

Why I do it

My main reason for wanting to lose weight is for my health, looking better and having more confidence is also a plus. What helped me to most was an ebook I bought at . I think they also offer a 30 day money back gaurantee for anybody that is not satisfied.
