I been going to the gym for 2 weeks str8 this time it looks like I am gettin use to it and may be sticking to it but have a question about my tummy...

I do the elliptical everyday for 35 minutes sometimes more but never less than that I put the resistance up to about 10 so I can get a real sweat and it's been working.

I was wondering if I start to do crunches now will it work at reducing my waist size????

I mean it's still A LOT of fat there its not like I am a size 10 im still in the high numbers and just wanted to know is it too soon to start working my stomach to lost a pants size or 2

Also the flab under my arms what's something I can do to start toning it I dont want muscle but I don't want waves when im raising my arms either.

1. you can not "tone" up a body part.
Tone = low body fat showing ones muscle mass.
2. You can not spot reduce.
Meaning you can not do a specific exercise to loose specific fat.
3. Well there is no three ;).

In my experience, you have to lose the fat before you can really see the muscle tone underneath.

However, I noticed that even though I had belly fat and arm fat, that by doing weights and resistance, that my body started to take on a different shape and looked more fit, instead of just flabby. My core area did get smaller.

Your muscles will pull in tighter, so do the situps and core exercises even if you aren't losing weight. It really helps your clothes fit better too.

If its an area that you really want to be toned when your done losing weight it wouldn't hurt to start working those abs now so that when the fat is gone the muscles start poking through sooner.

I have been hitting the gym hard lately also, not too much results but I think the key is to be persistent .

For your arms work your triceps. Do overhead extensions and kickbacks. Check out some of the weight lifting sites for exercises.
