So i am 24 years old. I have two girls. One is 3 and a half and my youngest is 6 weeks.

Right now I am 5'4 and about 155 pounds.

When I was pregnant with my first daughter I was just recovering from an eating disorder. I started my pregnancy at 115 and when I gave birth I was about 185. Throughout my first pregnancy I ate fast food and junk every day. Once I had my daughter Giana I stopped eating junk, and ate very clean and healthy and worked out some. I ended up being diagnosed with add so I was put on adderall. I went from 125 pounds down to 103 pounds. I still watched what I ate and stayed under 110 for about a year. Then my weight started rising.. two years later I'm 130-135 and I'm pregnant again with my next child..
my second pregnancy i went from 135 to 185-190. This pregnancy I did continue a light workout.. and i rarely indulged in junk food. maybe once a month I would eat a medium fry from McDonald's.. yet I gained a lot of weight.
i am 6 weeks postpartum and I am at 155. I stated working out at the gym 2 weeks after I gave birth.. I haven't lost any weight in 4 weeks.

when I mean I eat clean, I eat clean.
I eat chicken always grilled. I never eat anything fried. I eat bread and pasta wheat/whole grain, i drink tons of water, and drink diet pop. I eat healthy cereal in the morning, turkey sandwich, or salad with lite dressing. for dinner its always tons of veggi's, and some sort of lean meat. I don't eat butter, cookies, cakes, muffins, or pancakes/waffles. If I eat red meat, which is rare.. its 97% fat free. I eat fat free yogurt. Apples and oranges everyday. I don't drink juice... i never eat chips, or fatty creamy stuff. No mayo, I use evoo when cooking.... this is not a diet for me, this is how i choose to live my life, because of my past eating disorder I do not want to diet.
( i do have a small piece of chocolate everyday tho)

so then WHY did I gain so much weight during my pregnancy?? and why am I not losing the weight now?

I got to the gym 3 times a week. Run 2 miles in 22-26 minutes.. depending how much energy i have that day and then I do free weights.. by the time i leave the gym I'm completely soaked in sweat..

i am 155 pounds, and 5'4. I am in a size 13 pants..

what am i doing wrong? and how do i get this weight off?? I'm going nuts!

I'm not sure the answer to your question... BUT I think you're doing well considering you lost 30 pounds in 2 weeks... Since you said you were at 185-190 and haven't lost anything for the past 4 outta 6 wks...

EDIT: But then again I haven't ever had a baby!

Your story sounds like my story. With my first born, the weight quickly came off. Several years later, with the birth of my daughter, it was extremely hard to loose. The more I tried, the more I gained. She will be 17 this year. Do you know I am still trying. There were many times that I just gave up. Don't give up. You're doing great. Sometimes the body will go into stravation mode when you can't seem to drop the pounds. You will see that the pounds will begin to drop again. As for my, I just joined the new WW program. Let's see how that goes.......

Hey Heather!

Congrats on the new baby!

I haven't had children yet and I'm not entirely familiar with the effects of pregnancy on the body. However, I do know that each person responds to pregnancy differently and subsequent pregnancies in the same person can be very, very different.

Since you are only 6 weeks post partum, I think that you need to give yourself more time to see weight loss. Your body needs time to heal after giving birth and I would say that in a few more months, if you are consistent in your healthy habits, you should start to see more weight loss.

Also, stress can have a negative effect on weight loss, so try to do relaxing things (if you can find the time between 2 young ones :willy_nilly:)!

I know that's not much help, but try to be patient!
