Ok if u say so :S

I work my entire body out everyday. Everyone says its so bad, Im starting to see really nice results. I feel fine, I weight lift, run

everyone is different just do whatever suits you.

Everyones different but not everyone is a steroid taking bodybuilder.

You'll see better results if you work each body part just once a week.

actually, thats very good. hitting a bodypart once every 7 days is whats not really optimal. ;)

thats not true. this kind of training was never all that great years ago and only became popular because of the steroid using beauty pagent contestants (competitive bodybuilders). ;)

I don't necessarily think a whole body workout every day is a good idea...then again you may not be doing much volume, and thus aren't over training.

Most full body routines I see have you train 3 times a week, and are excellent programs for beginners or intermediate trainees looking for a change of pace.

I tried, but didn't like a full body routine. I like to go balls to the wall, and i just cannot keep my focus up for hardcore bench, hardcore back work, hardcore biceps, triceps and shoulders...and then have to go do deadlifts, squats, etc. My mind is just fried by then and I feel my workout is sub-par.

What I do is have two upper adn two lower body routines every week. My upper routines are split into a chest emphasis day, and a back emphasis day...but both days have exercises for both, plus shoulders, tris and bis.

My leg routines are a little different from each other too, but still built on compound moves with just a little isolation afterwards.

Training a body part just one day a week just isn't as effective, not enough workload to get teh gains you could get if you hit the muscle a little more often.

i find it much better to workout everythign everyday...it feels good...and i have an addiction to it...if i dont workout i dont sleep...its just me...and it does keep bodyfat low...i just see the few times a week idea as an excuse people are making..i tried that before..but wasnt getting any much results...

Well it depends what you are trying to achieve.

For building muscle, working out everyday is simply not as effective as having longer rest periods.

As Malkore said, how can you possibly hope to push yourself to the limit on your squat, bench and deadlift on the same day. Its tiring enough reaching failure on just one of these excercises. I know I'd be sick if I attempted to do all three in one session.

And if you want to stimulate muscle growth you need to really work your muscles. Maybe not to failure, but still work them hard. This isn't possible with a full body every day reigime.

As for workout splits being an "excuse", well lol. I bet I work harder in just one of my workouts than you do in an entire week.

Mostwanted im addicted to, if I dont get my work out in Ill get very annoyed with it, and I wont be able to concentrate on whatever im doing untill I go finish my workout

And I dont work myself to muscle failure thats just frickin stupid

are we all on the same page here? i thought we were talking "working out", which means basically training. its not good to hit the weights each and every day but hitting the weights today and maybe doing cardio or pulling the sled tomorrow is perfectly fine.

as for full body workouts, this is how the world trains save for bodybuilders who show how poor training procedures can be overcome with drugs and genetics. bill starr who is one the greatest trainers there ever was had his lifters squat 3x times a week followed by the bench press. one day squats were followed by deadlifts.

read up on mark rippetoe who has young trainers gain 30lbs in a couple of months by having them squat 3x a week followed by presses, deadlifts and cleans. glenn pendlay, alywin cosgrove, chad waterbury, dan john, etc the list goes on and on.

now some ppl scream "well, this is what works for me". and thats all fine and dandy. but up against trainers who all together have trained thousands and thousands of ppl for years and years, its no match.

read up on training in the 30's, 40's and 50's. they were big and they were strong and they didnt isolate bodyparts or train with bodypart splits. look on serious lifting sites like fortied iron or midwestbarbell.

now that being said if one wants to look like brad pitt, then continue on with isolating muscle groups and using pink dumbells and jane fonda workout videos. but if one wants to be powerful, muscular and strong they should end the foolishness and get to work.

train the body, not body parts. upper/lower, push/pull thats all good also because you're still training the body

nice compliment though..
