OK here goes nothing

I am 34yrs old, last year I went from 488lbs to 430lbs by eating better, walking and working out. A month ago I went back to school and in that month of going to school from 8am to 2pm and then working from 3pm to 12am I have put back on 20lbs and am back up to 450lbs. I am almost at my wits end litterally. I am a factory worker and have been for 13 years. I quit high school to help support my family as my mother could not work and my sister was still in elementry school. 13 years later I have gone back and will be graduating at the end of this month. I will be starting part time 1 or 2 classes at the university in Jan and am looking forward to the lighter schedual.

I really did well when I was on another support board, it helped alot but there were so many pics of weight lifters in shorts that work has now blocked it and I can not access it anymore. That and the busy schedual has lead me to some serious weight gain and falling back to my old eating habits. I am praying that I can get that support and give support as well out here and get back on the track to losing this fricken weight before the weight losses me.:eh:

welcome to the WLF. Congrats with the weight loss so far. As for being at your "wits end," you've found the perfect place to get back on track. Here are a few tips to make your stay a bit easier:

1. Read all stickied threads for fantastic nutrition and fitness information.
2. Start yourself a food/ workout journal. It will give members the opportunity to get to know a bit more about you and they'll help to motivate you.
3. If you need to keep track of your food (calories), you can use either or
4. If you have questions.. don't be afraid to ask. Everyone is very helpful.

Wishing you all the luck with your weight loss. Oh and another thing, congrats with getting back in there and finishing up school. :D Good on yas, doll.

Welcome aboard. I can tell you that nutrition is going to be your primary concern at the moment. What kind of foods are you eating now?

Well I have been eating primarily fast foods as I mentioned in the other thread but that all changes now. I have been doing that because of the hecktic schedual but I have some plans. I am going to eat according to Bob Greens Best Life Diet which I read before but didn't put into action. At the time I read it I was doing ok on my own and didn't want to screw with the success I was having.

I already use fitday and will copy and post my foods starting tommorow that way you can see exactly what I am eating. I will prob still ahve to use some t.v. dinner ect but I am planning on buying a few boxes of Bonless skinless chicken breasts/ omega 3 eggs and whole wheat bread some fruits and veg along with yogurt and other healthy options tonight after work I am going shopping.

It's good to have you along. I have been up and down over the years myself. Once thing I know that having support and encouragement is a huge help in making progress.

You made a good choice in going back to school, good job! And for the weight loss as well.

You've already taken the first step which is the hardest in my opinion!

Have you started a diary yet?

That's always helpful and you gain even more support.
