Pic's are up in post 2 - I am random and liked pixalting the photos. Anon style. This is me trying to fit into a Boston Tee I got in Maine lol.
I counted during a hockey game I had one full can of pringles, a small bag of dorito's, a hershey white choclate bar and two cans of pop. I look back at that and really feel bad. I am out of the rut now.
A little bit of positivity has been happening, I got a callback for the Hotel gig, I got an unoficial job offer and hope to get the real deal from the GM early this week. That means no more shitty call centre job. Instead of sitting for 9 hours a day, I will be up mobile and moving. YES! Exactly what I need. I also have gotten the opprotunity to help out the local minor hockey organization and help coach novice. I focus on goalies and d-men. I really want to slim down and if I could be sub 300 when I step on the ice that would be an amazing feat.
I found a cool running routine and I am going to do this. I will probably run around my city but somedays I may go to the gym to run with my gf.
The Couch-to-5K Running Plan
We all have our "off" days, the important thing is to get right back to it, and not let them turn in to off weeks, months, or years (I've had a couple of those in my day)
Congrats on the possibility of a new job! And good luck with coaching Hockey, have you had any experience with that before? When I was in college I would do some refereeing and that was great to keep in shape, but with a work schedule now, it is a little harder to stay involved.
I've heard great things about this program, I even think that you can download free podcasts to run along with, that will tell you when to run and when to walk. Listen to your body, Like you I'm a big guy and if I try to push it too hard, I can really feel it in my knees. If you blow out a knee you're on the couch for weeks with no exercise, so it's better to take it easy, push yourself but listen when your body tells you to stop or slow down.
Good Luck man, I'm rooting for ya.
Hi brutesquad, i am new on here and yet to post my diary, i will work on that latrer, from what i read most people are american on here, i am british, so apologise if the weights i mention dont tally! I got divorceed last year (feb 09) and thats what sparked it for me, lets face it who wants a fat bloke! so there i was single and approx 25stone or 350 pounds. unfortunately i never took any photos, and like you i didnt register on bathroom scales. now 15months down the line, i am 270 pounds, 19 stone approx. Its been hard work, dont get me wrong, but if you are determined you will do it, i watch what i eat, buit i wouldnt say that i live like a rabbit i do eat some bad stuff, but i do 1hour cardio EVERY day, and 30 minute swimming. So stick to it, andthe biggest achievement of all is when you can get on the scales, and you can start wearing clothes that can be purchased from "normal" clothes shops without paying a fortune for them (maybe you deont have that problem in the U.S, but over here we do!) anyway, good luck, keep at it
