:dupe: Hey everyone. Umm basically i have no idea how all this site works lol. Im 18, 6' high and umm.... 260 lbs. lol. anyways i just wanted to ask some advice on p90x. That is my goal to lose weight, that and a strict diet. Any tips cause i am lost! Please help a guy out. BTW my goal is to get at 200 at least in 6 months
 
I've heard overall good things about p90x but instead of aiming for a high number like 10 pounds a month, focus on making the healthier and smarter diet choices. Just doing that will get you walking down the path to weight loss. It doesn't have to be a strict diet..just a smart one.
 
Im in about the same boat as you 5'11" I started about a month ago at 264 and am now down to 248lbs. From what I have seen 2lbs a weeks seems to be what people are saying. For me I just have been working hard in the gym and doing activities that I enjoy. Ice hockey Hiking. I was only doing about 1200 calories a day but felt week so last week I bumped it up to 1800 a day. It feels so much better! The weight may not come off as fast but I can live like this and not feel like shit all day. If your like me be ready for the hurt. my legs and knees have been in pain since day one on the treadmill but I just keep pushing.
