Here's the latest... I had a w/e away from home so I had a few beer and ate out a few times ( not healthy choices either ).... anyway, I don't get weighed until the am but I think i have dropped a few more pounds. I am up to jog for 6 minutes / walk for 4 minutes X4. I have one more set of 6 minutes and then I am to 8 minutes... very excited about running for a mile straight ( which I accomplished once Fri am ). My wife purchased me a bowflex for working out... I guess she thought a man on an exercise ball was pitiful looking ( at least this man ). So the bowflex workout starts today. This should be interesting. Stay tuned.
Congrats on the running ! Good progress! By the way (this is random and off-topic), in the one pic the bed behind you looks straight out of a bedding catalog, so kudos to your wife if she was in charge of the decorating there!
Well I am going to be starting my fifth week of running... dropped 11lbs so far. Too early into the bowflex workout to comment ( just started my second week ).
Well I got weighed this am and was shocked... I dropped 5 lbs in 3 days
I am now running for 10 minutes walk 2, repeat x2. Having a rough time with the middle 10. But still it feels like it's getting easier. Running 2 minutes 5 weeks ago winded me, now it's nothing. Running a mile straight isn't something I thought I'd ever be doing again, but you never know. I am loving the bowflex workout, strength is increasing... and the workout seems nice and relaxing, only entering week 3 of that. I feel like have toned up somewhat. I have dropped 16 lbs since I started. I took the advice of the board and quit the 1500 cal per day diet and now the weight is coming off... ( lost 1 lb in the week I went 1500 cal per ).
Well I didn't get weighed since my last weigh in... my diet has been pretty good ( save for a couple of beer )... loving the bowfles.. smooth workout and my strength is increasing. Still running. I find that running isn't getting much easier at this point... hard to move this body over a distance.
