Novice looking for weight training advice...

Hi, I'm a novice just getting into training my biceps. My main objective is to increase my muscle size (the visual appreance) and I'd also like to increase my strength.

Since I work at home on my limited budget I only have dumbells to work with. I'd like to design a routine to follow but I'm not sure where to start. Also, I've been hearing good things about High Intensity Training so I'd like that incorperated into my routine as well. If someone could help me design a routine to follow it would be great.

Thanks!

Okay so you want to just workout ONLY your biceps and make yourself look bigger? You have to workout your entire body, not just make one section of your body big. Secondly, it's HIIT with 2 I's, called High Intensity Interval Training. You sprint for a few minutes, walk, jog for a bit, then you sprint for a few minutes again. You mess around with your metabolism and confuse it, making it burn more fat. If you want to be actually serious about working out, then you will go to a gym. Sounds like to me you only have maybe 2 pairs of dumbbells and they're only about 20 pounds or around there each.

Do some research before you ask for help. Think of it this way, if you're asking for directions to Main Street, and you lost your glasses and you can't see anything clearly at all, and we give you directions, you won't know sh!t where to go. Go and find your glasses before you ask for directions.

squats make you grow, just like deadlifts. the big lifts will make your entire body grow, the body is a bit more complicated than you think ;)
